External HIE definition

External HIE means other entities and services that provide health information exchanges that are not part of the HIE, including national networks and regional health information exchange organizations, which provide for participation by CRISP, and through CRISP, CRISP Participant and Other Participants, in the exchange of health information on an intrastate, interstate, regional or national basis directly or through participation with a third party organization or entity, including but not limited to so-called national exchanges and vendors of Electronic Health Records.
External HIE means other entities and services that provide health information exchanges that are not part of the HIE, including national networks and regional health information exchange organizations, which provide for participation by CRISP, and through CRISP, CRISP Participant and Other Participants, in the exchange of health information on an intrastate, interstate, regional or national basis directly or through participation with a third party organization or entity, including but not limited to so-called national exchanges and vendors of Electronic Health Records. The DC HIE, as defined by 29 DCMR section 8701.1, is an “interoperable system of designated and registered HIE entities” and is not an HIE entity itself. For the avoidance of doubt, the DC HIE shall not be considered an External HIE for purposes of this Agreement.

Examples of External HIE in a sentence

  • The parties agree that Oother Participants are not Business Associates of Participant with respect to the HIE, an External HIE or CRISP Services or their activities pursuant to the Agreement.

  • The foregoing shall not apply to termination in an External HIE or Participant’s participation in an External HIE.

  • To the extent an External HIE Exchange has specific conditions or obligations relating to Data subject to special restrictions that are pertinent to the above.

  • Separate or different procedures may apply with respect to a External HIE, which may be described in External HIE Materials or as described in the CRISP Policies and Procedures.

  • The provisions of this Section 176 are expressly for the benefit of CRISP, the Participant, the HIE, External HIE and other Participants and Third Party Data Sources.

  • Upon the expiration or termination of the Agreement for any reason, Participant shall cease to be a Participant and neither Participant nor its Participant Users shall have any rights to access or use the HIE, External HIE, or CRISP Services (unless a Participant User has an independent right to access the HIE, External HIE, or CRISP Services through another Participant) in accordance with a Use Case or otherwise.

  • Participant will use the Data received from the HIE, External HIE, or CRISP Services only for a Permitted Purpose in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement, provided that after Data is initially received byParticipant through the HIE, External HIE, or CRISP Services and it becomes part of the Participant’s records, other data or databases, such Data shall no longer be subject to the terms of this Agreement and shall be considered to be Participant’s Data for all purposes.

  • CRISP represents and warrants to Participant that CRISP shall perform all services, an External HIE, and CRISP Services hereunder in a commercially reasonable manner and in accordance with industry practices and standards generally applicable to such services; provided, however, that where this Agreement specifies a particular standard or criteria for performance, this warranty is not intended to and does not diminish that standard or criteria for performance.

Related to External HIE

  • external borders means external borders as defined in point 2 of Article 2 of Regulation (EU) 2016/399;

  • External Manager means either of the following: (1) A person who is seeking to be, or is, retained by a board or an investment vehicle to manage a portfolio of securities or other assets for compensation, or (2) A person who manages an investment fund and who offers or sells, or has offered or sold, an ownership interest in the investment fund to a board or an investment vehicle.

  • External Verifier means any qualified provider of third party assurance or attestation services or other independent expert of internationally recognised standing appointed by the Issuer, in each case with the expertise necessary to perform the functions required to be performed by the External Verifier under these Conditions, as determined in good faith by the Issuer;

  • External inspection means an inspection made when a boiler is in operation.

  • Automated external defibrillator or “AED” means an external semiautomatic device that determines whether defibrillation is required.

  • External Account is your account at another financial institution (i) to which you are transferring funds from your Eligible Transaction Account; or (ii) from which you are transferring funds to your Eligible Transaction Account.

  • Internal appeal means an internal appeal to the relevant authority in terms of section 74;

  • Internal Restructuring shall have the meaning set forth in Section 7.02(f) of this Agreement.
