Educational Assistant definition

Educational Assistant means a member of the Bargaining Unit other than a Teacher, Remedial Tutor, or Aboriginal Languages Teacher;
Educational Assistant means a person who is employed by a board of education or the conseil scolaire to assist in the work of a school under the direction and supervision of a teacher or principal; (« adjoint d’enseignement »)
Educational Assistant means a classified school employee who does not require a license to teach, who is employed by a school district or education service district and whose assignment consists of and is limited to assisting a licensed teacher in accordance with rules established by the State Board of Education.

  • Should such a transfer take place, the Educational Assistant in question shall be allowed to exercise their bumping rights and shall not suffer any reduction in hours or pay.

Educational Assistants will have recess duties and may be asked to substitute for teachers. Duties shall be determined by the Principal and may change as needed. This is a school year, full or part time position as determined by the district.

Educational Assistant means a United States citizen and resident of New Mexico who has worked as an educational assistant in a public school for at least two years and is in good standing with the public school and who is enrolled in or accepted by an undergraduate teacher preparation program at a regionally accredited public post-secondary educational institution in New Mexico.
