The Contractor must use the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify system to verify the employment eligibility of all new employees hired during the term of the Contract for the services specified in the Contract.
The Contractor must also include a requirement in subcontracts that the subcontractor must utilize the E-Verify system to verify the employment eligibility of all new employees hired by the subcontractor during the Contract term.
The Authority will not enter into a contract unless each party to the contract registers with and uses the E-Verify system.
The Contractor and its subcontractors shall register with and use the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) E-Verify system to verify the work authorization status of all new employees of the contractor or subcontractor in accordance with section 448.095, F.S. The Contractor shall obtain an affidavit from its subcontractors in accordance with paragraph (5)(b) of section 448.095, F.S., and maintain a copy of such affidavit for the duration of the Contract.
In accordance with Section 448.095, Florida Statutes, the Authority requires all contractors doing business with the Authority to register with and use the E-Verify system to verify the work authorization status of all newly hired employees.
