Debt Investment definition

Debt Investment. Any real estate related loan to a third party, including but not limited to (a) loans secured by a mortgage or deed of trust or similar security instrument, (b) mezzanine loans, and (c) B-Notes.
Debt Investment. An Investment constituting an obligation for borrowed money, whether secured or unsecured, but specifically excluding accounts payable, trade payables and/or accrued expenses arising in the ordinary course of business. For the avoidance of doubt, any obligation which satisfies the Eligibility Criteria at the time the Issuer or the Investment Manager on behalf of the Issuer has entered into a binding commitment to purchase it, shall constitute a Debt Investment even if it subsequently fails to satisfy paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (g), (h), (i), (j), (k), (m) and/or (n) of the Eligibility Criteria.

  • Any and all expenses incurred by the Company, the Operating Partnership, the Advisor, or any of their Affiliates in connection with the disposition of any Real Property, Real Estate Related Security or Debt Investment, whether or not finally sold, including, without limitation, legal fees and expenses, travel and communications expenses and accounting fees and expenses.
