Additional Amount definition

Additional Amount means, with respect to Trust Securities of a given Liquidation Amount and/or a given period, the amount of Additional Interest (as defined in the Indenture) paid by the Depositor on a Like Amount of Debentures for such period.

Additional Amount means, with respect to Trust Securities of a given Liquidation Amount and/or a given period, an amount equal to the Additional Interest (as defined in clause (ii) of the definition of "Additional Interest" in the Subordinated Indenture) paid by the Depositor on a Like Amount of Junior Subordinated Notes for such period.

Additional Amount has the meaning assigned to that term in Section 2.11(a).

Examples of Additional Amount in a sentence

• If the Issuer provides an Opinion of Counsel in the appropriate jurisdiction, dated as of the date of the relevant event referred to in the preceding paragraph, that no obligation to pay any Additional Amount aforesaid arises, then that Opinion of Counsel shall be final and binding, solely for purposes of such paragraph, on the Issuer, the Subordinated Trustee and the Holders of the Securities of any such series as to the law of the relevant jurisdiction at the date of such Opinion of Counsel.

• If the Issuer provides an Opinion of Counsel in the appropriate jurisdiction, dated as of the date of the relevant event referred to in the preceding paragraph, that no obligation to pay any Additional Amount aforesaid arises, then that Opinion of Counsel shall be final and binding, solely for purposes of such paragraph, on the Issuer, the Senior Trustee and the Holders of the Securities of any such series as to the law of the relevant jurisdiction at the date of such Opinion of Counsel.

• Such Notes shall be paid and redeemed by the Issuer at the Redemption Price therefor; provided, however, that any payment of interest or Additional Amount on any Note the Interest Payment Date of which is on or prior to the Redemption Date shall be payable to the Holder of such Note registered as such at the close of business on the relevant Regular Record Date in accordance with the terms of this Indenture and such Note.

More Definitions of Additional Amount

Additional Amount means, as of the applicable date of determination, with respect to each Preferred Share, all declared and unpaid Dividends on such Preferred Share.
