Academic Researchers definition

Academic Researchers means data requests by researchers affiliated with public or private universities or medical schools for non-commercial uses, such as health care research or other health care related projects.
Academic Researchers means all the investigators listed in Appendix A from the Academic Institutions.

Examples of Academic Researchers in a sentence

  • Academic Researchers shall receive health and safety education and/or training applicable to their job functions.

  • For the purposes of FML, twelve (12) workweeks is equivalent to four- hundred eighty (480) hours of scheduled work for full-time Academic Researchers who are normally scheduled for eight (8) hours per day five (5) days per workweek (8/40) schedule.

  • The order of layoff or reduction in time for Academic Researchers in the same layoff unit, and the same title or title series, shall be on the basis of special skill, knowledge, or ability essential to the department, program, project, or unit.

  • The University shall provide military leave for Academic Researchers who are called to active U.S. military service or state military service according to applicable University military leave policy or as otherwise required by applicable law.

  • The University and UAW shall engage in local Labor-Management meetings for the purpose of reviewing and devising ways to address on- going needs of Academic Researchers for the mutual benefit of the Academic Researchers and the University, and to make recommendations to appropriate University officials.

Related to Academic Researchers

  • scientific research means any activity in the field of natural or applied science for the extension of knowledge;

  • Academic year means the period of twelve months beginning on 1st January, 1st April, 1st July or 1st September according to whether the course in question begins in the winter, the spring, the summer or the autumn respectively but if students are required to begin attending the course during August or September and to continue attending through the autumn, the academic year of the course is to be considered to begin in the autumn rather than the summer;

  • Scientists means employees who are university graduates in the Natural Sciences, the Applied Sciences, Mathematics or Computer Sciences, who are not classified as professional engineers, and who are engaged in the application of this specialized knowledge in the course of their employment. This definition includes all incumbents in positions identified under the heading of “Scientists” listed in Attachment A to Appendix I entitled “Utilization and Advancement of Professional Engineers and Scientists” in this Agreement. “Scientists” includes employees who satisfy these criteria and who are required to perform supervisory functions.

  • Biological diversity means the variability among living organisms from all sources including, inter alia, terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part; this includes diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems.

  • Collaboration Know-How means all Know-How conceived, discovered, developed or otherwise made by or on behalf of a particular Party or any of its Affiliates or permitted subcontractors of any of the foregoing (solely or jointly by or on behalf of a particular Party or any of its Affiliates or permitted subcontractors of any of the foregoing) in the course of [***].

  • Professional Technologist means a person holding registration as Professional Engineering Technologist in terms of the Engineering Profession Act, 2000.

  • Collaboration IP means Collaboration Know-How and Collaboration Patents.

  • Collaborative lawyer means a lawyer who represents a party in a collaborative law process.

  • Collaborator An individual who is not under the direct supervision of the PI (e.g., not a member of the PI’s laboratory) who assists with the PI’s research project involving controlled-access data subject to the NIH GDS Policy. Internal collaborators are employees of the Requester and work at the same location/campus as the PI. External collaborators are not employees of the Requester and/or do not work at the same location as the PI, and consequently must be independently approved to access controlled-access data subject to the NIH GDS Policy.

  • Speech pathologist means a person who engages in the application of principles, methods, and procedures for the measurement, testing, evaluation, prediction, consultation, counseling, instruction, habilitation, rehabilitation, or remediation related to the development and disorders of speech, fluency, voice, or language for the purpose of nonmedically evaluating, preventing, ameliorating, modifying, or remediating such disorders and conditions in individuals or groups of individuals.

  • Research Materials means all tangible materials other than Subject Data first produced in the performance of this CRADA.

  • Collaborating physician means the physician who,

  • Research Data means documents in a digital form, other than scientific publications, which are collected or produced in the course of scientific research activities and are used as evidence in the research process, or are commonly accepted in the research community as necessary to validate research findings and results;

  • Development Works means the external development works and internal development works on immovable property;
