On that day, employees will be expected to report to their regular shift but will engage in professional development as established by the Town. If an employee is not scheduled for a shift on the day set aside for professional development, the employee may attend the development voluntarily and will not be paid overtime. If the professional development is deemed mandatory, the employee will be required to attend and will be paid overtime.
