WSIB. The parties agree that the employee can submit a claim to WSIB should the employee have symptoms consistent with the outbreak. Medical Notes Where medical certification is required by the employer, the employer shall reimburse the employee should the employee incur a cost for the medical certificate.
WSIB. LTD ABSENCES 24.01 (a) A member who is absent from work and is claiming Workers Safety Insurance Board or Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits shall retain the position held by the member immediately prior to the absence up to a maximum of twenty-four (24) months.
WSIB. An employee who is eligible for and receives approval of a claim by the W.S.I.B. shall be on a paid leave of absence, with no reduction in net salary or other rights under the Collective Agreement.
WSIB. The Employer shall notify the Board within three days after learning of an accident to a worker employed by it if the accident necessitates health care or results in the worker not being able to earn full wages. The Employer shall give a copy of notice (Form 7) to the worker at the time the notice is given to the Board.
WSIB. In the case of an accident, which will be compensated by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, the Hospital will pay the employee’s wages for the day of the accident.
WSIB. An employee who is injured in the course of their duties will have their Workers Safety Insurance salary award supplemented from their sick leave credits to provide for payment of their full salary, until the sick leave credits have been exhausted. In the event an employee does not wish to use their sick leave credits in this manner, they shall receive their Workers Safety Insurance salary award, and there shall be no deduction from their sick leave credits. Written notification selecting this latter option must be given to the Health and Disability Officer at the time the accident is reported.

WSIB as defined in the plan, occupational related sickness or accident is not covered by the salary continuance plan or the long-term disability plan. TPR will not top-up the W.S.I.B. payment to the employee. TPR will advance the estimated amount of compensation to the employee for the first two pay periods pending receipt of the W.S.I.B. cheque. Requests for such advances must be submitted within the first week of the first pay period of the occurrence. Prior to the release of any advance from TPR, the employee will be required to sign:
WSIB. An employee who is receiving Workplace Safety and Insurance Board benefits and who has sick leave credits available will suffer no loss of annual disposable income based on TD1 form submitted prior to the injury. If annual disposable income is reduced as a result of being on W.S.I.B., a supplement will be provided from the employee’s sick leave credits with the employee’s approval.
WSIB. The Employer agrees that it will continue payment to those Employees who file for W.S.I.B. at their rates of pay that would have been paid by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. Such payment shall not take place unless the Employee signs the bridging contract and waiver form as provided by the Employer. Such forms shall direct repayment of any funds advanced to cover the bridging period to be paid directly to the Employer. Approved Bridging forms will be supplied by the Employer and signed upon hiring. The Employer will ensure all Employees have had an opportunity to sign the appropriate bridging forms. At such time as the claim is decided by W.S.I.B. payment will revert to direct payment from W.S.I.B.
