With Full Pay. (i) For the critical illness of husband or wife, son or daughter, brother or sister, parent, grandchild, or grandparents, of the teacher or of the teacher’s spouse:

With Full Pay. 14.2.1.1 For the period of one day, plus one day for traveling, if necessary, per school year to attend the teacher’s convocation of a university or graduation from a post- secondary institution.
With Full Pay personal leave for up to one (1) day per school year shall be granted for attending to private concerns. Where possible, at least three (3) days’ notice shall be given to the principal or in the case of a principal to the superintendent or designate. Effective September 1, 2019, teachers shall be able to accumulate their personal leave days up to a maximum of two (2) days.
With Full Pay. A teacher is entitled to temporary leave of absence with pay and such leave is deemed to be an authorized absence approved by the Employer. Where such teacher is absent:
With Full Pay. (i) Critical Illness - Critical illness shall mean a life-threatening illness. For the critical illness or illness requiring admission to hospital intensive care unit of father, mother, husband, wife, son, daughter, brother, sister, parents of spouse and siblings of spouse - not more than five days or until death occurs. A statement will be required if death does not occur, signed by the teacher, signifying to the critical nature of illness, or the illness requiring admission to a hospital intensive care unit and the qualified medical practitioner's name, address and telephone number who may be contacted to verify the statement. The statement shall contain an authorization allowing the doctor to release information relating to the illness giving rise to the leave to the secretary-treasurer of the Board.
