Union Conference Leave. Accredited delegates to the union’s annual conferences shall be granted paid leave for the duration of the conference provided that the council’s operational requirements are met and the union notifies council of the accredited delegates nominated to attend the conference at least one month prior to the commencement of the conference.
Union Conference Leave. 26.0 Upon receipt of a written request, the Employer may grant leaves of absence without pay to Employees selected by the Association and to Employees elected as Officers of the Association, to attend union conferences, seminars, and training courses which do not exclusively involve only the Association and its members. In reaching its decision to approve/deny such request, the impact of the absence upon the normal operations of the Museum and/or the Employees’ department will be a major consideration.

AT A GLANCE Union Delegates endorsed by a Union partied to this Agreement, and who apply to attend their Union’s yearly conference, unless Council has a reasonable reason to refuse, will agree to allow an employee to take paid leave to attend the conference if the Union provides adequate notice. Union Conference Leave. 10.05 Upon written application to the Operations Manager, at least two (2) weeks prior to the event, the Company may grant unpaid leave of absence to not more than two (2) employees of the Company to attend Union conferences and conventions to a maximum of ten (10) days off per year for the bargaining unit.

Upon two (2) weeks advance written notice to the Service Director, temporary unpaid leaves of absence will be granted as reasonably requested to attend Union conventions or conferences subject to the prior approval of the Service Director based on the scheduling needs of the City. Leaves with pay totaling up to two hundred (200) hours per year may be granted to attend safety or other training approved in advance by the Service Director with no more than two (2) employees on leave at a time. The employee(s) approved to attend will provide an oral briefing of the materials covered as directed by the Service Director. Approved leaves will not be counted as an absence for attendance purposes.
