Time Between Shifts. 27 There shall be a minimum of eight (8) hours between regular scheduled 28 shifts. Employees who have completed their regular shift and are required to 29 work an additional continuous eight (8) hours shall be granted four (4) hours of 30 rest with pay at the straight hourly rate. The rest pay provision shall apply to the 31 employee’s first four (4) hours of their next shift and only occurs when the next 1 regular shift begins within twelve (12) hours of the end of the continuous work 2 period.
Time Between Shifts. (a) An employee who has completed a shift (that may include a contiguous period of overtime at the end of the shift) or a period of non-contiguous overtime after the shift shall not be required to resume work until nine (9) hours have elapsed from the time the shift or overtime period was completed. This will not apply to employee requested shift changes.
Time Between Shifts. Unless the employee volunteers or agrees, employees will 21 receive a minimum of eight (8) hours’ rest before starting their next shift.
Time Between Shifts. It is mutually agreed that there will be a minimum of twelve (12) hours between the finishing time and start up time of each regular employee (no back to back shifts) unless the employee so agrees.
Time Between Shifts. When an employee is required to change shifts, (16) hours shall be allowed between shifts. If, however, an employee is required to report on the second shift in any time than sixteen (16) hours after finishing the first shift, the employee shall be paid at overtime rates for the period worked before the sixteen (16) hours time allowed for change has expired except when requested by the and approved by the Hospital. Part-time Employees In the case of the Dietary Department, the time off will (12) hours between shifts so as to allow more consecutive working days for these employees. The parties agree that the implementation of this clause will not directly result in a reduction of the current full- time staff complement in the Dietary Department.
Time Between Shifts. An employee shall have a minimum of ten (10) hours off before having to report for duty on said employee's next regular scheduled shift. The above does not apply to call-in situations, or to a continuation of work at the end of presently scheduled shifts. Additionally, exceptions may be made in emergency situations with the approval of the Chief and/or at any other time by mutual agreement between the employee and the Chief. An employee scheduled to report back to duty without the required ten hours off, shall be compensated at time and one-half for those hours in conflict with the ten-hour rule. For example: An officer is scheduled to work 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. one day and 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the following day (eight off-duty hours between shifts). The officer will be paid time and one-half for the first two hours of his/her shift (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.) and will be paid at the regular straight-time rate for the hours worked from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Time Between Shifts. (a) If UCMH requires an Employee to work in excess of his or her ordinary rostered hours and, as a result, the Employee would not have at least 10 consecutive hours off duty, the Employee shall be allowed 10 consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for rostered ordinary hours.
Time Between Shifts. Each member shall be given a minimum of eight hours between regularly scheduled hours, training hours included, with the exception of mandatory court appearances, performing BAG testing certification, yearly time changes and in cases of emergencies or when officers volunteer for additional time or trade a shift.
Time Between Shifts. An Employee who works beyond the regular ending time of a shift and who has less than seven (7) hours before the beginning of his next scheduled shift, may request to report late for the next shift. Approval of the request is at the discretion of the on-duty O.I.C. The time the Employee is to report to work must be established by mutual agreement, but is not to exceed the length of time the Employee worked beyond the end of the shift.
Time Between Shifts. Management should attempt to schedule a minimum off-duty period of 10 hours, except when prevented by abnormal or unforeseen circumstances. Management should attempt to provide employees with adequate time for rest.
