Temporary Leaves. 11.8 Teachers required by official orders to attend National Guard Duty, other military reserve duty, or jury duty during the contract year and for a period not to exceed fourteen (14) contract days shall receive pay for such period equal to their regular pay, less the amount received for the services performed. Extended time requirements under this section may be granted by the School Board after application, in advance, to the Superintendent.

Temporary Leaves. A. Employees shall be entitled to two (2) Personal Days with full pay without specifying the reasons. All unused Personal Days will accumulate as sick days.
Temporary Leaves. Temporary leaves are generally leaves of very short duration (i.e. ½ day to 10 days) and usually with no deduction in pay.
Temporary Leaves. For new employees who start after the commencement of the normal contract year, all leaves will be prorated based on the number of days in the normal contract year of said employee’s employment category. For currently contracted employees all leaves are available on the initial day of the contract year. However, should employment terminate prior to the end of the contract year, all leave will be prorated based on the number of days worked. Any leave taken in excess of the prorated amount will be reimbursed to the district as a deduction from the employee’s last paycheck. The smallest portion of a day that may be used for leave purposes is one fourth (1/4) of an employee’s contracted day.
