Common use of Separation Allowance Clause in Contracts

Separation Allowance. Where an employee resigns within one (1) month after receiving notice, he/she shall be entitled to a separation allowance of one week’s salary for each year of continuous service if the employee has less than four (4) years’ service and two (2) weeks' salary for each year of continuous service, if the employee has four (4) or more years’ service, to a maximum of eighteen (18) weeks, an employee receiving this pay has no entitlement to recall.
