Section 10.2.3. 2 In the event employees are absent for reasons which are covered by industrial insurance, the 3 District shall pay the employee an amount equal to the difference between the amount paid the 4 employee by the Department of Labor and Industries and the amount the employee would 5 normally earn. A deduction shall be made from the employee's accumulated sick leave in 6 accordance with the amount paid to the employee by the District. When an employee depletes 7 their accumulated sick leave, the employee will be placed on non-paid status, and sick leave 8 payments will cease under this section.
