Common use of Research License Clause in Contracts

Research License. Subject to the terms of this Agreement and subject to the rights of Existing Licensors under the Existing License Agreements, Curis hereby grants to Genentech an exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide right and license, during the Term, with the right to sublicense in accordance with Section 7.1(c), under the Curis Technology and Curis’ interest in Joint Patents to perform Genentech’s obligations under the Research Plan.

Research License. Subject to the terms of this Agreement and subject to the rights of Existing Licensors under the Existing License AgreementsAgreement, Curis hereby Genentech hereby: (i) grants to Genentech an Curis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, worldwide right and license, free license during the Term, with the right to sublicense in accordance with Section 7.1(c)[**], under the Curis Technology and Genentech Technology, to perform Curis’ interest in Joint Patents obligations under the Research Plan; and (ii) grants back to Curis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license during the Term, [**], under the rights licensed to Genentech under Section 7.1(a), to perform Genentech’s Curis’ obligations under the Research Plan.
