Common use of Re-examination for Illness Clause in Contracts

Re-examination for Illness. In the event an Employee is unable to participate in the process because of illness or accident (confirmed by a medical certificate), he/she shall submit a letter to the Fire Chief no later than one (1) week following the competition indicating their name and rank and their desire to compete. The Fire Chief shall immediately submit the name and rank of the Employee to the Division Chief Training. The re-write promotion examination will be held on the 4th Wednesday in February of the year of the competition.
