Notification Requirements. Unless otherwise provided in this Article, an employee must make every reasonable effort to contact and notify the appropriate supervisor, administrator or designee the working day prior to the beginning of an absence, but notification should not be later than the first working hour of the first day of absence except that specific reporting requirements may be established for certain classes and positions requiring adherence to strict time schedules.
