Make Up Hours. Nurses who have received mandatory low census may request to make up the hours lost and the Hospital will make a good faith effort to schedule the nurse for the make-up hours. If the nurse is able to make up hours lost to low census within the same pay period in which the nurse experienced the mandatory low census, the low census hours (equal to those made up) will be removed from the nurse’s mandatory low census record. Time made up will be at the regular rate of pay, unless the contract would otherwise require a higher payment.
Make Up Hours. The Parties agree that an employee who has missed regular shifts due to illness during the week may request to make up their hours at straight time up to a weekly maximum of 40 hours on the weekend or on their normal scheduled days off if such work is available.
