Lead Hand. Employee who performs hands-on work in a group or small section of a department (usually four or fewer employees) and directs work assignments and is responsible for its completion. Employees providing work direction or supervision must be layered over (i.e. placed at a higher classification than) all employees to whom direction or supervision is provided. The resulting classification will be determined by the classification levels of the applicable job family.
Lead Hand. Any employee assigned by the Employer to assist as a Lead Hand shall receive a premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour over the top rate in the employee’s current classification.
Lead Hand. A Lead Hand is an employee who is able and willing to instruct others in the performance of their work, or who, because of exceptional skill and ability or the nature of his work, is so recognized by the Company.
Lead Hand. Definition - A lead hand is an individual temporarily appointed by Supervision and trained to carry out specific assignments and direction in the absence of a supervisor. Responsibility - The appointed individual will be given considerably less responsibility than the supervisor he replaces. Lead Hand. A Lead Hand will be defined as an employee who may perform bargaining unit work and direct the work of other bargaining unit members, while performing the duties of his job classification. He will not have the authority to hire and dismiss employees, and will be a Union member. When a Lead Hand is to be appointed by the Company, a bulletin will be posted, and the Lead Hand will be selected according to qualifications and seniority. It will be the responsibility of the Company to make the selection, with the proviso that where qualifications are equal in the opinion of the Company, the senior man will be awarded the position. Lead Hand. Each full crew shall have a Lead Hand appointed by the Employer.
Lead Hand. The Parties agree that the training of Employees with regard to other duties shall be the responsibility of an Airport Operations Serviceperson A.F.F.S. Lead Hand.
Lead Hand. A lead hand is a working employee designated by the Company, who is able and willing to direct and instruct others in the performance of their work. The Union will recognize Lead Hands as supervisory assistants. However, Lead Hands shall not have the right to hire, promote, demote, suspend, discharge or lay off bargaining unit employees.
Lead Hand. A Lead Hand as long as he is so appointed by the Health Centre shall receive a premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour.
Lead Hand. Where the Employer considers it necessary for one Employee to be left in charge of a group of Employees, the Employee assigned to be a Lead Hand will be paid $1.25 / hour over and above their regular rate of pay for a minimum of one full shift. The selection of the Lead Hand shall be made taking into consideration ability, knowledge and qualifications.
