GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE Section A. Definitions. A grievance is a claim based upon an event or condition which affects the conditions or circumstances under which an employee works, allegedly caused by misinterpretation or inequitable application of provisions of this agreement. Day means a working day. Lack of timely response (as defined below) by the district at any stage shall serve to advance the grievance to the next higher step if the grievant so desires and signifies that desire by written notice of this purpose. Time limits set forth herein may be extended by mutual agreement between the parties confirmed in writing.
