You must indicate these hours on this Authorization. This Authorization and the agency status created herein will begin on the date approved by GPD and will remain in effect for one (1) year, unless terminated by either GPD or you prior to that date. Director of Public Works. If the grievance is not settled at Step 1, the Union or grievant may appeal to the Director of Public Works within ten (10) business days after receipt of the response at Step 1 or ten (10) business days from when the response should have been received at Step 1. The grievant shall set forth the facts and circumstances and shall state the reason for believing that the grievance was improperly denied at Step 1. The Director of Public Works shall then investigate the grievance, and if he deems it appropriate, may hold a meeting with the parties involved in the grievance at a reasonably convenient time. The Director will respond in writing to the grievant with a copy to the Union within ten (10) business days after his receipt of the grievance.
Director of Public Works. The executed work authorization(s) shall become a part of this contract. Upon satisfactory completion of the work authorization, the Engineer shall submit to the County for review and acceptance the deliverables as specified in the executed work authorization. Work included in a work authorization shall not begin until the County and the Engineer have signed the work authorization. All work must be completed on or before the completion date specified in the work authorization. The Engineer shall promptly notify the County of any event which will affect completion of the work authorization.
Director of Public Works. If the grievance remains unsettled after the response in Step One, the Union may submit a written grievance to the Public Works Director within fifteen (15) business days of the Step One response, or depending on the circumstances the Union may file the grievance directly at Step Two, in which case it must be filed within fifteen (15) business days of the event giving rise to the grievance or when the employee/Union reasonably should have realized that a dispute existed. The Public Works Director shall schedule a conference with the Union within ten (10) business days of receipt of the grievance to attempt to adjust the matter. The Public Works Director shall submit a written response within ten (10) business days of the conference. If the conference is not scheduled, the Public Works Director shall respond to the grievance in writing within ten (10) business days of receipt of the appeal.
Director of Public Works. A. If the answer in Step 1(b) is not satisfactory to the Grievant, it shall be presented in writing by the Xxxxxxx to the Director of Public Works within five (5) working days after the immediate supervisor’s response was received or due. The Public Works Director shall sign and date the Xxxxxxx’x copy of the grievance form.

Director of Public Works. Director of Public Works may perform bargaining unit work which is incidental to their jobs. They may also perform bargaining unit work in emergency situations and where such work is necessary to train a bargaining unit employee. Such work by the Director of Public Works shall not cause any layoffs of bargaining unit employees or result in reduction or elimination of overtime that would normally be performed by bargaining unit employees.
