The overall objective of the GFDRR is to support national capacity building to deal with the risks of natural disasters and to enhance speed and efficiency of international assistance for disaster recovery operations for low and middle income countries, while also catalyzing global and regional partnerships towards meeting some of the targets set forth by the Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015 (HFA).
