Degree Allowance. Employees shall be entitled to a one time payment of $1,750 for a Doctorate degree from a recognized university. The employee shall qualify for only one Doctorate of Philosophy degree and this allowance shall be paid out once the employee has submitted proof of successful completion of the degree to the Board. This shall apply to all employees who currently have a Doctorate of Philosophy degree, and to those who attain such a degree in the future.
