Common use of CUTTING AND PATCHING Clause in Contracts

CUTTING AND PATCHING. The contractor shall do all necessary cutting and patching of the work that may be required to properly receive the work of the various trades or as required by the drawings and specifications to complete the structure. The contractor shall restore all such cut or patched work as directed by the Engineer. Cutting of existing structure that shall endanger the work, adjacent property, workmen or the public shall not be done unless approved by the Engineer and under his (her) direction.
