Clerical Unit Work Schedule. For the Clerical Unit, a change in the daily work schedule that requires an employee to work beyond the regular work schedule shall not require the employee to flex his or her hours except by mutual consent of the employee and the supervisor. However, employees in work units that provide a six (6) or seven (7) day operation may be required to flex their work schedule, based on the needs of the work unit. Flexing of work schedule will be assigned on the basis of inverse seniority unless more senior employees prefer to accept such work. The required flexing of work schedules will be on a day-for-day basis. When an employee is required to work on a regularly scheduled day off, the department will provide the employee with an alternative day off in the same work week when the required flexing occurs. In the event that the City changes a clerical employee’s work hours on a permanent basis, the City will provide the employee notice at least thirty (30) calendar days in advance of the date of the change. For the purposes of this Section, the schedule change shall mean a change in the employee’s work hours of at least one (1) hour. If the employee is unable to work the newly scheduled hours, the City will seek volunteers in the same classification in the Department or work area who are willing to work the newly scheduled hours. In the event that a volunteer exists, the new schedule shall be given to the volunteer. If no employee is able to work the new schedule, the City will offer the affected employee a transfer to a budgeted vacant position that is available to be filled as determined by the City Manager in the same classification in the City. If no vacancy exists, the employee’s work hours will be changed as scheduled.

This cost will be mutually agreed upon by the CITY and FIRST PARTY. A supplemental agreement providing for such compensation for extra work shall be negotiated between the CITY and the FIRST PARTY. Such supplemental agreement shall be executed by the FIRST PARTY and may be approved by the City Manager upon recommendation of the Department Head.

  • Shift Work Shift work is work not in excess of ordinary hours (ie 38 hours per week), but carried out wholly or partly between the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday. Shift work is work scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees required to work shift work will be paid at time and one quarter of the ordinary rate per hour for ordinary hours worked.

  • Construction Progress Schedule; Overall Project Schedule The Contractor shall submit for review by the Design Professional and approval by the Owner a Construction Progress Schedule based upon the Design Professional’s Preliminary Design and Construction Schedule and prepared using a CPM (Critical Path Method) process within sixty days after the Effective Date of the Contract, utilizing a full-featured software package in a form satisfactory to the Design Professional and Owner, showing the dates for commencement and completion of the Work required by the Contract Documents, including coordination of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical disciplines, as well as coordination of the various subdivisions of the Work within the Contract. Milestones must be clearly indicated and sequentially organized to identify the critical path of the Project. The Construction Schedule will be developed to represent the CSI specification divisions. It shall have the minimum number of activities required to adequately represent to the Owner the complete scope of Work and define the Project’s (and each Phase’s if phased) critical path and associated activities. The format of the Construction Progress Schedule will have dependencies indicated on a monthly grid identifying milestone dates such as construction start, phase construction, structural top out, dry-in, rough-in completion, metal stud and drywall completion, equipment installation, systems operational, inspections for Material Completion and Occupancy Date, and Final Completion Date. The Contractor shall submit, along with the Construction Progress Schedule, the Submittal Schedule for approval by the Design Professional, correlating the associated approval dates for the documents with the Construction Progress Schedule. Upon recommendation by the Design Professional and approval by the Owner, the Construction Progress Schedule shall become the Overall Project Schedule, which shall be utilized by the Design Professional, Owner and Contractor. The Contractor must provide the Design Professional and the Owner with monthly updates of the Overall Project Schedule indicating completed activities and any changes in sequencing or activity durations, including approved change orders. See also Article 3.3.5.

  • UNIT WORK When the Employer deems it necessary in order to carry out a mission and operations of the campus, the Employer may contract out work provided that the contracting out does not displace bargaining unit employees or reduces their scheduled hours. The Maine Community College shall notify MSEA-SEIU when contracting out is to be implemented. MSEA-SEIU may request to meet and confer on the impact on contracting out such work. The Maine Community College shall meet with MSEA- SEIU within thirty (30) days of such request. Notice to MSEA-SEIU shall be not later than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the commencement of the contracting out. In emergency circumstances, when the College enters into a contract under which contracting out will commence in less than thirty (30) days, when possible, notification shall be made two (2) weeks prior to implementing the contract, but in no event later than ten (10) working days after the commencement of the contracting out. Prior to the meeting and conferring on contracting out, the Maine Community College System will provide MSEA-SEIU all relevant written information, including copies of bids received, any cost analysis used by the College to evaluate the need for contracting out, and all other relevant material used by the College in making its decision regarding contracting out. Contracting out of the type of work normally performed by existing bargaining unit members for limited periods not to exceed six (6) months shall be allowed without the Union’s agreement if one or more of the following conditions are present at the affected campus or other non-campus location (such as the System Office in Augusta):

  • PROGRESS SCHEDULE The Contractor, within ten (10) working days of receiving notice of the award of the contract, shall prepare and submit for the State's and Architect's information an estimated progress schedule for the Work. The progress schedule shall be related to the entire Project to the extent required by the Contract Documents, and shall provide for expeditious and practicable execution of the Work.

  • Normal Work Schedule 130. Compensation fixed herein on a per diem basis are for a normal eight-hour work day; and on a bi-weekly basis for a bi-weekly period of service consisting of normal work schedules.
