Annual leave provisions. 16.1.1 Employees (other than casual employees) are entitled to 4 weeks annual leave for each completed year of continuous service. Employees will be entitled to take an amount of annual leave as authorised by Salmat and Salmat will not unreasonably refuse a request. Authorisation of annual leave during a particular period will be subject to the operational requirements of Salmat. The parties acknowledge that it is important from an occupational health and safety perspective that employee’s take regular leave for adequate rest and rejuvenation.

Annual leave provisions. (1) An employee may use annual leave only when authorized by the appropriate Administrative Authority or such authority's designee. The administration of annual leave will be conducted in a fair and equitable manner considering seniority and other relevant factors.
Annual leave provisions. These Annual Leave provisions apply only to regular and limited term employees hired on or after July 15, 1977 and before the first full pay period in January 2017, except as otherwise indicated in this Article. As discussed more fully in Section 3 of this Article, effective the first pay period of January 2017, employees will no longer accrue annual leave. Instead, employees will accrue sick leave and vacation time pursuant to Article IV, Section 1. and Article V, Section 1. The Annual Leave provisions shall apply to regular and limited-term employees hired on or after July 15, 1977. Employees hired prior to July 15, 1977 shall be covered by the Sick Leave and Vacation provisions of this Memorandum of Understanding. Annual Leave will consist of the combined sick leave, vacation balances, and accruals for employees covered by the Annual Leave Plan.
