Absence Policy. Parent shall pay in full to the Center the weekly/monthly Fee for each week/month Child is enrolled in the Center’s Program, regardless of whether Child is absent for any reason, including but not limited to illness or vacation. When possible, Center requests that Parent informs school in advance of any intended absence.

Absence Policy. Employee shall abide by the Company’s Absence Policy as in effect from time to time during the Term of this Agreement.
Absence Policy. Students are expected to be present and on time every day. Permission for "special absence" (short or long) must be prearranged. Parents may call or write a note to the principal explaining the situation beforehand. A student is responsible for work missed because of absences. Parents are encouraged to schedule vacations during regular school breaks. Missing several days of classes is detrimental even to the strongest student and causes additional hardship to the teacher. A student will not be given credit for a class or the school year if he/she has been absent more than 10% of the school year, which is 19 or more absences of the required 180 school days. For a student in Upper School, 19 or more absences of a specific class will prevent that student from receiving passing credit for that class. Repeated unexcused absences may be considered grounds for summer school, suspension, retention, or even dismissal. A student who is in attendance for at least four hours of a school day is considered present for the day and is not assessed an absence.
Absence Policy. A reasonable attempt shall be made to provide substitutes for all teaching areas including special area bargaining unit members. In the event that no regular substitute is available, a principal may ask a bargaining unit member to cover the class. Bargaining unit members may refuse this request. A bargaining unit member shall be paid at a rate of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per hour for class coverage. Payment shall be included in the next regularly scheduled pay. If a substitute cannot be obtained, the principal will, under normal conditions, cover the class. This section shall not apply to Board employees who provide substitute coverage for an entire day, as opposed to one class period. Those employees shall receive their regular pay for the day. If a Board employee who provides substitute coverage extends their contracted day to provide that coverage, the employee will be paid their daily rate for any additional time beyond their contracted day. Teachers will be offered substitute class coverage prior to other employees being offered coverage opportunities.

An Operator shall be required to submit a physician’s certificate for absences in excess of five (5) consecutive working days, stating that the Operator has been under the physician’s care and is able to return to work. Doctor’s appointments will be counted as absences unless the Operator submits medical verification to a Supervisor that the Operator is required to have pre-scheduled medical appointments. This verification must include the name of the medical practitioner, how many appointments are anticipated, if known, and must be submitted at least forty-eight (48) hours before the appointment begins. This exception is designed for an Operator who must undergo pre-scheduled medical treatments such as, but not limited to, prenatal care, physical therapy and chemotherapy, or who is required to be absent as a result of a chronic illness or disease as verified by a licensed medical practitioner.

Absence Policy. The full fee will be charged for all absences. Fees are like tuition and are based on enrollment, not attendance. No refund, credit or makeup day is provided for children who are absent due to illness or vacation. Parent shall notify Provider of any absence as soon as the Parent knows that Child is unable to attend on a day. CHILD ILLNESS POLICY Please be considerate if your child shows any signs of an oncoming illness. Provider has the obligation to protect children in Provider’s care from illness whenever possible. Children with the following conditions must be kept home and will be sent home if these conditions become apparent: Fever over 101̊F Vomiting Skin rash or eruptions of unknown origin Constant cough Heavy nasal discharge If a runny nose is related to allergies, please provide a doctor’s note stating that fact. Diarrhea Conjunctivitis – such as pink eye or thick discolored drainage from the eyes Sore throat Upset stomach Parasites – nits, lice, crabs, etc. Communicable diseases – chicken pox, measles, ring worm, scarlet fever Child will also be sent home when the Provider believes, in the Provider’s judgment, that Xxxxx’s condition poses a threat to the health or safety of Child or other children or staff in the program. A child who becomes ill will be separated from the other children, and Parent will be called. Parent must pick up Child within one hour after being notified of Xxxxx’s illness. After one hour, Parent will be charged for any additional cost related to the isolated care. If Child is sent home due to illness, this will be considered an absence in accordance with Section 4. Child should be symptom-free for 24 hours before he/she returns to day care. WITHDRAWAL OF CHILD BY PARENT Parent must provide two weeksnotice in writing before withdrawing Child from the Program. If Parent fails to provide two weeks’ written notice, Parent will be charged for two weeks of care, even though Child is no longer in the program.

Absence Policy. If a student is absent more than five days of the classroom instruction, they must be moved to the next scheduled session of classes (session being the 32 hour session) to make up the time missed. Students will not be allowed to be absent from the make-up classes. If there are less than five absences, the assigned module work must be made up before the class session (session being the 32 hour session) is over.
