Your loss definition

Your loss means your insured, underinsured or uninsured loss or damage or legal liability, costs, payments made and expenses in relation to respect to which you have claimed under your policy. Any action or legal proceeding we take will be commenced either in your name, or in the name of any other person or entity that suffered your loss. We have full discretion over the conduct and any settlement of the recovery action.

Examples of Your loss in a sentence

  • You must give Us authority to see the relevant records and get information about the Event and Your loss from the police or any other authority.

  • We shall recover only the excess after You are fully compensated for Your loss.

  • Your loss may be limited, but the risk of sustaining a total loss to the amount agreed is substantial.

  • The effective date of Your coverage will depend on when We receive proof of Your loss of coverage under another health plan and appropriate premium payment.

  • We will reimburse You, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, if Your Baggage and Personal Effects, which are lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed during Your Trip or while checked with a Common Carrier less any amount paid or payable by a Common Carrier, hotel, Travel Supplier or any other party responsible for Your loss, provided You have taken all reasonable measures to protect, save and/or recover Your property at all times.

  • Your loss of life benefits will be paid in accordance with the beneficiary designation in effect at the time of payment.

  • We will reimburse You, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, if Your Baggage and Personal Effects, which are lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed during Your Trip less any amount paid or payable by a Common Carrier, hotel, Travel Supplier or any other party responsible for Your loss, provided You have taken all reasonable measures to protect, save and/or recover Your property at all times.

  • The amount recovered will be applied first to reducing the amount by which Your loss exceeds the payment made by Us plus any Excess applied.

  • This means that if these amounts are not sufficient to cover Your loss, We will only pay the GST relating to Our settlement of the claim.

  • Packet Loss means the difference between the number of service frames transmitted at the ingress UNI and the total number of service frames received at the egress UNI. Packet Loss may also be referred to as Frame Loss.

  • Loss or Damage means any loss or damage to the Vehicle, including that caused by theft of the Vehicle or by adverse weather events, that requires repair or replacement including the loss of use of the Vehicle (demurrage), legal expenses, assessment fees, towing and recovery costs, storage, service charges and any appraisal fees of the Vehicle;

  • Net Loss means, for each fiscal year or other applicable period, an amount equal to the Partnership’s taxable income or loss for such year or period as determined for federal income tax purposes by the General Partner, determined in accordance with Section 703(a) of the Code (for this purpose, all items of income, gain, loss or deduction required to be stated separately pursuant to Section 703(a) of the Code shall be included in taxable income or loss), adjusted as follows:

  • Consequential Loss means loss of profits, anticipated loss of profit or revenue, loss of production, loss of business opportunity, loss of or damage to goodwill or reputation, loss of use or any other similar loss, but excludes:

  • Loss means any and all losses, damages, claims, costs and expenses, interest, awards, judgments and penalties (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and expenses, but excluding any allocation of corporate overhead, internal legal department costs and other internal costs and expenses).
