Years of Continuous Service definition

Years of Continuous Service means, as to any employee, all full or partial years during which he was employed on a full-time basis by the Company.
Years of Continuous Service means the number of years since Hire Date a person has been continuously employed as an active regular full-time, part-time or call-in employee of the Company or its predecessors, as determined by the Company.
Years of Continuous Service means the number of full years of a Participant’s continuous and uninterrupted employment with the Employer based on the elapsed time between the Participant’s initial employment commencement date with the Employer and the date of the Participant’s termination of employment with the Employer. For purposes of the foregoing and for the sake of clarity:

Examples of Years of Continuous Service in a sentence

  • Three weeks of Regular Earnings times Years of Continuous Service, with a maximum of 39 weeks of Regular Earnings and a minimum of 13 weeks of Regular Earnings.

  • Three weeks of Regular Earnings times Years of Continuous Service, with a maximum of 52 weeks of Regular Earnings and a minimum of 22 weeks of Regular Earnings.

  • Three weeks of Regular Earnings times Years of Continuous Service, with a maximum of 26 weeks of Regular Earnings and a minimum of 9 weeks of Regular Earnings.

  • For example, a Participant who is regularly scheduled to work less than full-time on his Separation Date has 10 Complete Years of Continuous Service (9 at full-time and 1 at less than full-time), had an annual base salary of $100,000 as a full-time employee but on his Separation Date has an annual base salary of $50,000 according to the Employer’s payroll records because it was reduced as applicable for the less than full-time position.

  • If the Executive has completed two (2) but less than three (3) full Fiscal Years of Continuous Service in an eligible position the average shall be computed based upon the average Compensation paid or credited to the Executive for the two (2) full Fiscal Years immediately preceding the Class Year.


More Definitions of Years of Continuous Service

Years of Continuous Service means the number of years during which an individual has been deemed to be an employee of Synchrony (which shall include periods during which such individual was employed by General Electric Company and its affiliates) according to its payroll or other systems of record, as determined by the Committee, which shall include, in the event of a Break in Service of less than three (3) consecutive years, such employee’s service to Synchrony prior to such Break in Service.
Years of Continuous Service means years of Continuous Service as defined in the Pension Plan. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a Participant who served as a chief executive officer of a bank that the Company acquired after 1990 and who became an executive vice president of the Company upon the acquisition of said bank, shall be credited with additional Years of Continuous Service equal to 25% of the number of years such Participant served as the acquired bank’s chief executive officer, rounded up to the next whole year, not in excess of 2 years.
