Year of Service for Vesting definition

Year of Service for Vesting means a Plan Year during which the Employee completes at least 1,000 Hours of Service. The following special rules shall apply:
Year of Service for Vesting means with respect to any Employee, all periods of employment with the Employer, whether or not consecutive, measured from the Employee's Employment Commencement Date and ending on his Service Termination Date. Years of Service for Vesting shall also include the period following his Service Termination Date, provided he is reemployed by the Employer prior to incurring a Break in Service.
Year of Service for Vesting means a Plan Year, either before or after the effective date of this Plan, during which the Employee had not less than one thousand (1,000) Hours of Service after attaining age eighteen (18).

Examples of Year of Service for Vesting in a sentence

  • In determining a Year of Service for Vesting, all such Leaves of Absence shall be considered to be periods of continuous employment with the Employer.

  • You will always receive credit for a Year of Service for Vesting (see Article VII) if you are credited with at least 1,000 Hours of Service during the Computation Period (see section 5.03B) regardless of the special requirements, if any, of section 5.08.

  • The Computation Period for calculating a Year of Service for Vesting purposes will be the Plan Year.

  • Long-term monitoring of health parameters among ringtailed lemurs has allowed us to establish baseline health data and then to perform yearly assessments of how the lemurs are affected by ongoing environ- mental change and human disturbance.

  • Option 2☐ An employee shall be credited with a "Year of Service for Vesting" for each Plan Year during which the employee remains continuously employed by the Employer for a period of days (cannot exceed 365 days).


More Definitions of Year of Service for Vesting

Year of Service for Vesting means each calendar year during which an Employee is credited with 1000 or more Hours of Service. A "Year of Service for Vesting" will also mean each year of service, if any, credited to an Employee by the Administrator on a nondiscriminatory basis for service rendered by the Employee to a prior employer.
Year of Service for Vesting means a Plan Year during which the Employee had not less than one thousand (1,000) Hours of Service after attaining age eighteen (18). An Employee will not be credited for Years of Service prior to the effective date of this Plan.
Year of Service for Vesting means a Plan Year during which the Employee had not less than 1,000 Hours of Service.
Year of Service for Vesting means a Plan Year during which the Employee had not less than 1,000 Hours of Service which occurs after the Employee has attained the age of 18.
Year of Service for Vesting means, with respect to any Employee, a Vesting Period during which the Employee has completed 1,000 or more Hours of Service. Employees who participated in the Prior Plan as of January 1, 1983 shall be granted one (1) Year of Service for Vesting for the Plan Year ended December 31, 1982 regardless of the number of Hours of Service completed in such Plan Year. For purposes of this Section 2.51, service performed for Digital Electronic Automation Company or Brown & Sharpe Aftermarket Services, Inc. (or its predecessor) shall be credited as service for the Employer.
Year of Service for Vesting means a Plan Year during which the Employee had not less than 1,000 Hours of Service; provided, however, for maritime Employees, a "Year of Service for Vesting" shall mean a Plan Year during which the maritime Employee completes 125 Days of Service.
Year of Service for Vesting means a Plan Year during which the Employee had not less than qne thousand (1,000) Hours of Service after attaining age eighteen (18).
