Year 2000 Ready or "Year 2000 Readiness" means that the referenced component, system, software, equipment or other item (for purposes of this definition, the "Computer System") is designed to be used prior to, during and after the calendar year 2000 A.D., and that such Computer System will operate at all levels, including microcode, firmware, application programs, user interfaces, files and databases, during each such time period without error or interruption relating to, or the product of, date data which represents or references different centuries or more than one century or leap year.
Year 2000 Ready means, with respect to any systems, software (whether embedded or otherwise), product, equipment or facility, that such system, product, equipment or facility is capable of correctly processing, providing, receiving and manufacturing the date data within and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, and its operations and functionality has not been adversely affected and will not be adversely affected in any material respect as a result of the advent of the Year 2000.

The TA acknowledges that notwithstanding any action taken by the TFO, its Transmission Facility, or parts thereof, may nevertheless experience a failure, whether due to a failure to be Year 2000 Ready, and/or other causes.

More Definitions of Year 2000 Ready
Year 2000 Ready means capable at all times, without additional expense, human intervention or additional programming, of correctly processing (and, if applicable, calculating, comparing, sequencing, storing, retrieving, displaying, printing, inputting and outputting) calendar, date and time data before, on and after January 1, 2000 (and correctly handling each leap year).
Year 2000 Ready means that the Software when used in accordance with its associated documentation, is capable of correctly processing, providing, and/or receiving date data within and between the 20th and 21st centuries, provided all other products (for example, software, hardware, and firmware) used with the Software properly exchange accurate date data with it.
Year 2000 Ready means that the Year 2000 Asset accurately processes and handles date and time data, including but not limited to performing all leap year calculations and calculating, comparing and sequencing during and between the years 1999 and 2000 and all other years, and will not malfunction, cease to function or provide invalid or incorrect results or data as a result of date or time data, including when a Year 2000 Asset is used in combination with or is interfacing with any other Year 2000 Asset or with any other asset or information technology to the extent that it is within its control.
Year 2000 Ready means that Information Technology is designed to be used prior to, during and after the calendar year 2000 A.D. and such Information Technology will accurately receive, provide and process date/time data (including, without limitation, calculating, comparing and sequencing) from, into and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries A.D., and leap year calculations and will not malfunction, cease to function or provide invalid or incorrect results as a result of date/time data (including, without limitation, to the extent that other Information Technology used in combination with such Information Technology properly exchanges date/time data with it).
Year 2000 Ready means that the software, hardware, equipment and systems will: (A) handle properly entered date information involving any and all dates before, during and/or after January 1, 2000, including accepting input, providing output and performing date calculations in whole or in part; (B) operate accurately and without interruption on and in respect of any and all dates before, during and/or after January 1, 2000 and without any change in performance; and (C) store and provide properly entered date input information without creating any ambiguity as to the century.
Year 2000 Ready means that the computer systems: (i) are capable of recognizing, processing, managing, representing, interpreting and manipulating correctly date-related data for dates earlier and later than January 1, 2000, including calculating, comparing, sorting, storing, tagging and sequencing, without resulting in or causing logical or mathematical errors or inconsistencies in any user-interface functionalities or otherwise, including data input and retrieval, data storage, data fields, calculations, reports, processing or any other input or output; (ii) have the ability to provide date recognition for any data element without limitation (including date-related data represented without a century designation, date-related data whose year is represented by only two digits and date fields assigned special values); (iii) have the ability to function automatically into and beyond the year 2000 without human intervention and without any change in operations associated with the advent of the year 2000; (iv) have the ability to interpret data, dates and time correctly into and beyond the year 2000; (v) have the ability not to produce noncompliance in existing information, nor otherwise corrupt such data into and beyond the year 2000; (vi) have the ability to process correctly after January 1, 2000 data containing dates before that date; and (vii) have the ability to recognize all "leap years," including February 29, 2000.
