Xxxxxxxxxxx Leave. Leave granted to employees who are required to absent themselves from work to attend to matters related to an impending or subsequent death and/or funeral of a member of their immediate family. Sick and/or annual leave may be granted for a maximum of five (5) days per occurrence. In extraordinary circumstances, additional leave may be granted by the Department Head or designee. The City may require documentation to substantiate leave request, and may limit the number of days off per year under this category. Leave under this provision will not be unreasonably denied.
