PPS Law means the PPSA and any amendment made at any time to the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) or any other legislation as a consequence of the PPSA.
This law or "the law" means the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court Law embraced in
customs law means all the statutory provisions applied by the customs administration on the importation, exportation, transit or movement of goods whether or not they involve the collection of duties or taxes (or security thereof), on the enforcement of prohibitions, restrictions or control or exchange control regulations or on any other customs regime;
Xxxxxxx Act means the Xxxxxxx Antitrust Act of 1890, as amended, and the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder.
EU Data Protection Law means (i) prior to 25 May 2018, Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data ("Directive") and on and after 25 May 2018, Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); and (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of Personal Data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector and applicable national implementations of it (as may be amended, superseded or replaced).
Corporations Law means the Corporations Law of the Commonwealth of Australia as applying in each State and Territory of Australia;
Data Protection Law means the applicable legislation protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and their right to privacy with regard to the processing of Personal Data under the Agreement (and includes, as far as it concerns the relationship between the parties regarding the processing of Personal Data by SAP on behalf of Customer, the GDPR as a minimum standard, irrespective of whether the Personal Data is subject to GDPR or not).
Electronic Transactions Law means the Electronic Transactions Law (2003 Revision) of the Cayman Islands.
Companies Law means the Companies Law (2018 Revision) of the Cayman Islands, as amended from time to time.
Israeli Companies Law means the Israeli Companies Law, 5759-1999.
Bulk Sales Laws shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.9.
Federal law means the Statute of Canada entitled “The Cannabis Act” and any other Canadian federal legislation regulating cannabis.
Xxxxx–Xxxxx Act For any federally assisted construction contract, in excess of two thousand dollars ($2,000), the contractor, subcontractor, subrecipient shall comply with all of the requirements of the Xxxxx-Xxxxx Act (40 U.S.C. 3141 – 3148) as supplemented by Department of Labor Regulations (29 CFR Part 5, “Labor Standards Provisions Applicable to Contracts Covering Federally Financed and assisted Construction”); and the Xxxxxxxx “Anti-Kickback” Act (40 U.S.C. 3145), as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (29 CFR Part 3, “Contractors and Subcontractors on Public Building or Public Work Financed in Whole or in Part by Loans or Grants from the United States”). For a definition of “Construction” see 48 CFR 2.101.
Xxxx-Xxxxx Act means the Xxxx-Xxxxx Xxxx Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
Xxxxxxx Rule means Section 13 of the U.S. Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, as amended, and the applicable rules and regulations thereunder.
Data Protection Laws and Regulations means all laws and regulations, including laws and regulations of the European Union, the European Economic Area and their member states, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, applicable to the Processing of Personal Data under the Agreement.
EU Data Protection Laws means EU Directive 95/46/EC, as transposed into domestic legislation of each Member State and as amended, replaced or superseded from time to time, including by the GDPR and laws implementing or supplementing the GDPR;
Regulatory Law means the Xxxxxxx Act, as amended, the Xxxxxxx Act, as amended, the HSR Act, the Federal Trade Commission Act, as amended, and all other federal, state and foreign, if any, statutes, rules, regulations, orders, decrees, administrative and judicial doctrines and other laws that are designed or intended to prohibit, restrict or regulate actions having the purpose or effect of monopolization or restraint of trade or lessening of competition through merger or acquisition.
Data Protection Act means Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information.
Applicable Data Protection Law means all data privacy or data protection laws or regulations globally that apply to the Processing of Personal Information under this Data Processing Agreement, which may include Applicable European Data Protection Law.
European Data Protection Laws means the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and data protection laws of the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and their member states and the FADP.
Interpretation Act means the Interpretation Act (British Columbia) from time to time in force and all amendments thereto and includes all regulations and amendments thereto made pursuant to that Act;
bye-law means a bye-law framed by the corporation under this Act;
Data Protection Laws means EU Data Protection Laws and, to the extent applicable, the data protection or privacy laws of any other country;
Xxxxxxxx-Xxxxx Act means the Xxxxxxxx-Xxxxx Act of 2002.
