Winter Break definition

Winter Break means December 21, 2019 to 12:00 noon on January 12, 2020.
Winter Break means the period between the end of the Fall Semester and the beginning of the Spring Semester detailed in Table 2 of Schedule “A”.
Winter Break. All Room and Board housing at TWU is closed during the break between the Fall and Spring semesters (Dec 17, 2022 - Jan 8, 2023). Students are permitted to leave their belongings in their accommodation but may not access their residence during the break without permission.

Examples of Winter Break in a sentence

  • To ensure the safety and security of the Resident and the Residence facilities it is the intention of the Manager to limit the number of Residents staying during the Winter Break to a small number of individuals that demonstrate a significant need for Residence accommodations.

  • During the Winter Break there is limited supervision of the Residence, all services are reduced or suspended, and annual maintenance and renovations may occur.

  • The Resident may apply to occupy a Room during the Winter Break period as detailed in Table 2.

  • Winter Break applications will be made available to Residents by the Manager.

  • Applications are due on or before December 1 at 5:00 p.m. If the Resident’s application is approved, they may be required to pay a small fee (detailed in Table 2) for Winter Break occupancy before the beginning of the Winter Break.

  • I further acknowledge that the Winter Break period is not included in the calculated fee schedule.

  • A leave of absence without pay is any leave of absence without pay except for the following: • Maternity, Adoptive or Parental Leave up to the maximum permitted under The Employment Standards Code; • Leaves of absence without pay for any period of 5 consecutive days or less; • For ten (10) month Employees, the Winter Break, Spring Break or Summer; • Periods away from work while in receipt of Worker’s Compensation benefits.

  • Employees shall take their vacation entitlement during the Christmas Holidays and/or Winter Break (exclusive of paid holidays as set out in Article falling within the Christmas Holidays and Break).

  • If the Resident’s application is approved, they may be required to pay a small fee (detailed in Table 2) for Winter Break occupancy before the beginning of the Winter Break.

  • If the Reside nt is found occupying a Room during the Winter Break without having given written notice to the Manager, the Resident shall be subject to $30.00 for each day during the Winter Break period or $656.00 for the entire Winter Break, due immediately.

Related to Winter Break

  • Minor Breach means a delay or non-performance by either Party of its obligations under the Agreement which does not materially, adversely or substantially affect the performance or delivery of the Service or the provision of a safe, healthy and supportive learning environment;

  • B-BBEE means broad-based black economic empowerment as defined in section 1 of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act;

  • Normal Operating Conditions means those Service conditions which are within the control of Grantee. Those conditions which are not within the control of Grantee include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, civil disturbances, power outages, telephone network outages, and severe or unusual weather conditions. Those conditions which are ordinarily within the control of Grantee include, but are not limited to, special promotions, pay-per-view events, rate increases, regular peak or seasonal demand periods, and maintenance or upgrade of the Cable System.

  • Existing Building means a building that (a) was in existence and completely constructed on the date that the Applicant first submitted its Application, or (b) in respect of which the IESO has, in its sole and absolute discretion, issued a written confirmation that the building will be deemed an Existing Building for the purposes of the definition of Rooftop Facility.

  • Residential living care means a level of service provided by an assisted living facility for adults who may have physical or mental impairments and require only minimal assistance with the activities of daily living. The definition of "residential living care" includes the services provided by independent living facilities that voluntarily become licensed.

  • Public building and "public work" means a public building of, and a public work of, a governmental entity (the United States; the District of Columbia; commonwealths, territories, and minor outlying islands of the United States; State and local governments; and multi-State, regional, or interstate entities which have governmental functions). These buildings and works may include, without limitation, bridges, dams, plants, highways, parkways, streets, subways, tunnels, sewers, mains, power lines, pumping stations, heavy generators, railways, airports, terminals, docks, piers, wharves, ways, lighthouses, buoys, jetties, breakwaters, levees, and canals, and the construction, alteration, maintenance, or repair of such buildings and works.

  • Occasion of Tax Non-Compliance means: any tax return of the Supplier submitted to a Relevant Tax Authority on or after 1 October 2012 which is found on or after 1 April 2013 to be incorrect as a result of: a Relevant Tax Authority successfully challenging the Supplier under the General Anti-Abuse Rule or the Halifax Abuse Principle or under any tax rules or legislation in any jurisdiction that have an effect equivalent or similar to the General Anti-Abuse Rule or the Halifax Abuse Principle; the failure of an avoidance scheme which the Supplier was involved in, and which was, or should have been, notified to a Relevant Tax Authority under DOTAS or any equivalent or similar regime in any jurisdiction; and/or any tax return of the Supplier submitted to a Relevant Tax Authority on or after 1 October 2012 which gives rise, on or after 1 April 2013, to a criminal conviction in any jurisdiction for tax related offences which is not spent at the Call Off Commencement Date or to a civil penalty for fraud or evasion;

  • trade premises means any premises used or intended to be used for carrying on any trade or industry;

  • Commercial Operations Date or "COD": The date on which Facility first achieves Commercial Operations.

  • Bid Opening Date means the date the Bid is opened by the City.
