Voluntary Layoff definition

Voluntary Layoff is employee consent to a reduction of hours or to an assignment to a lower classification in lieu of layoff.
Voluntary Layoff means a voluntary termination of employment for more than five working days with an agreed upon return to work date.
Voluntary Layoff means an election by a bargaining unit member, who is more senior than the least senior bargaining unit member in the bargaining unit, to accept layoff from employment when a reduction in force is necessitated.

  • Voluntary Resignation means any Termination by Employee for any reason other than a Constructive Termination.

  • Voluntary Termination means the termination by Executive of Executive's employment following a Change in Control which is not the result of any of clauses (i) through (v) set forth in the definition of Involuntary Termination above.

  • Voluntary and “Voluntarily” in connection with Executive’s termination of employment shall mean a termination of employment resulting from the initiative of the Executive, excluding a termination of employment attributable to Executive’s death or Disability. A resignation by Executive that is in response to a communicated intent by the Company to discharge Executive other than for Cause is not considered to be “Voluntary” and shall be considered to be a termination by the Company for the purposes of this Agreement.

  • Voluntary Withdrawal means a Member’s dissociation with the Company by means other than by a Transfer or an Involuntary Withdrawal.

  • Voluntary Prepayment means a prepayment of principal of Term Loans pursuant to Section 2.12 in any year to the extent that such prepayment reduces the scheduled installments of principal due in respect of Term Loans in any subsequent year.

  • Involuntary Termination means a termination of your employment with the Company pursuant to either (i) a termination initiated by the Company without Cause, or (ii) your resignation for Good Reason, and provided in either case such termination constitutes a Separation from Service. An Involuntary Termination does not include any other termination of your employment, including a termination due to your death or disability.

  • Involuntary Termination Without Cause means Executive’s dismissal or discharge by the Company other than for Cause. The termination of Executive’s employment as a result of Executive’s death or disability will not be deemed to be an Involuntary Termination Without Cause.

  • Involuntary Withdrawal means, with respect to any Member, the occurrence of any of the following events:

  • Voluntary Termination for Good Reason means that the Executive voluntarily terminates his employment after any of the following are undertaken without Executive’s express written consent:

  • Due Cause means any of the following events:

  • Involuntary Displacement means the involuntary acquisition of land resulting indirect or indirect economic and social impacts caused by: Loss of benefits from use of such land; relocation or loss of shelter; loss of assets or access to assets; or loss of income sources or means of livelihood, whether or not the Displaced Persons has moved to another location; or not.

  • Discounted Voluntary Prepayment has the meaning specified in Section 2.05(d)(i).

  • Voluntary Contributions means voluntary amounts contributed by a member or participating member into a health reimbursement account. However, to the extent required by applicable law, voluntary amounts shall not be contributed through a salary reduction election under a cafeteria plan pursuant to section 125 of the internal revenue code, 26 USC 125.

  • Voluntary Bankruptcy has the meaning set forth in the definition of "Bankruptcy."

  • Good Reason means:

  • Termination With Cause and “Cause” shall have the same meaning specified in any effective severance or employment agreement existing on the date hereof or hereafter entered into between the Executive and the Bank. If the Executive is not a party to a severance or employment agreement containing a definition of termination with cause, Termination with Cause means the Bank terminates the Executive’s employment for any of the following reasons –

  • Involuntary Termination of Employment means the Termination of Service by the Company or Subsidiary other than a termination for Cause, or termination of employment by a Participant Employee for Good Reason.

  • Demotion means a change from an employee's position to one with a lower maximum salary;

  • Layoff is a cessation of employment, or elimination of a job resulting from a reduction of the amount of work required to be done by the Employer, a reduction in hours of work where such a reduction is permanent and eliminates an employee's health and welfare benefit entitlement, a reorganization, program termination, closure or other material change in organization.

  • Constructive Termination Without Cause means the termination of the Executive’s employment at his initiative after, without the Executive’s prior written consent, one or more of the following events:

  • Voluntary Contribution Account means the account established and maintained by the Administrator for each Participant with respect to his total interest in the Plan resulting from the Participant's nondeductible voluntary contributions made pursuant to Section 4.12.

  • Constructive Dismissal means, unless consented to by the Participant, any action that constitutes constructive dismissal of the Participant, including without limiting the generality of the foregoing:

  • Discounted Voluntary Prepayment Notice has the meaning specified in Section 2.05(d)(v).

  • Constructive Termination means:

  • Termination Without Cause means the termination of the Employee’s employment by the Employer for any reason other than (i) Termination With Cause, or (ii) a termination by the Employer due to the Employee’s death or disability.

  • Involuntary Bankruptcy means, with respect to any Person, without the consent or acquiescence of such Person, the entering of an order for relief or approving a petition for relief or reorganization or any other petition seeking any reorganization, arrangement, composition, readjustment, liquidation, dissolution or other similar relief under any present or future bankruptcy, insolvency or similar statute, law or regulation or the filing of any such petition against such Person which order or petition shall not be dismissed within 90 days or, without the consent or acquiescence of such Person, the entering of an order appointing a trustee, custodian, receiver or liquidator of such Person or of all or any substantial part of the property of such Person which order shall not be dismissed within 90 days.
