Video Games. Any advertisement promoting a video game must adhere to local rules – for example, US advertising must include a visual graphic of and audio reference to the ESRB rating for the game. Advertisements promoting video games rated M, AO and/or Not Yet Rated are subject to review prior to air, and if accepted, will likely be subject to scheduling restrictions at Licensor’s discretion. Video Games may be played by one or more players at a time; may coordinate graphics with fanciful tunes or thematically significant music, along with incidental sound effects; may feature special effects; may be designated to keep score, record milestones, or otherwise track the progress or achievement of the players in terms of numbers or with respect to the fictional narrative of the game environment; and are intended to amuse and entertain. Examples of Video Games include: Tetris and Super Mario Bros. 3, both of which are distributed for play on the Nintendo Entertainment System; Sonic the Hedgehog II, distributed for play on the Sega Genesis Video Game System; Street Fighter II and NCAA Basketball, both of which are distributed for play on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

Video Games means all interactive video games of any kind or nature, including, the written materials, characters, plot elements, scenes, stories, names, visual effects, music, sound effects, voiceover tracks, and all content incorporated therein or created in connection with the production or promotion thereof, whether such gameplay is delivered electronically or through physical means for arcade, console, personal computer, handset device, mobile device or online, Internet, web, networked or connected platforms or any successor or derivative devices or platforms or any other device or platform now existing or hereafter conceived (including, massively multiplayer online games, casual games, social media games, streaming games and downloaded games).
