Veterinary Care definition

Veterinary Care means the practice, by a veterinarian, of veterinary medicine as defined in Section 474.202, Florida Statutes. The term includes annual wellness examinations, vaccinations, internal and external parasite prevention treatments, testing and treatments of illnesses and diseases, medications, emergency care and surgeries, veterinary oncology or other specialty care, euthanasia, and cremation.

Veterinary Care. The adopter shall ensure that the dog receives proper veterinary care which includes, at a minimum, an annual visit (i.e.: “well exam”), sick visits, and any additional care on an as needed basis in following with the veterinarian’s recommendations. The dog shall always receive regular flea/tick medicine and appropriate heartworm preventative.

Veterinary Care. If, in the opinion of Four Paws, veterinary care is considered necessary for any pet, Four Paws is authorized to seek veterinary care from the Client's specified Veterinarian. If urgent care is considered necessary for any pet and the specified Veterinarian is not available, then Four Paws is authorized to seek urgent veterinary care from any available Veterinarian. Reasonable attempts shall be made to notify Client of the situation. If Client cannot be contacted and time is of the essence, then the Client authorizes the Pet Sitter to approve medical and/or emergency treatment (excluding euthanasia) as recommended by a Veterinarian. Client releases Pet Sitter from all liabilities related to any transportation, treatment or expense.

Veterinary Care. The County shall be responsible to pay any “necessary veterinary care” for animals, as defined herein, which are provided to any animal impounded within the seven (7) day impoundment period pursuant to this Agreement. “Necessary veterinary care” means immediate veterinary treatment for injured, diseased, or sick animals or animals that seriously threaten Mountain Humane’s ability to maintain a healthy animal population. If within the seven (7) day impound period, Mountain Humane determines an animal received should be euthanized either because of health or behavior issues, The County will be responsible for the cost of such procedures.

FEES: The Rescue Program requires an adoption fee of dollars for the dog to help defray the costs of the dog’s maintenance and veterinary care. Because the Rescue Program operates on a very tight budget, the adoption fee is not refundable under any circumstances. This fee is not a donation. Any donations to the Rescue Program are appreciated.
