Urgently Needed Care definition

Urgently Needed Care or “urgent care” means those health care services that are necessary to treat a condition or illness of an individual that if not treated within twenty- four (24) hours presents a serious risk of harm.

Examples of Urgently Needed Care in a sentence

  • Emergency Services & Urgently Needed Care LIFE provides access to care 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and 365 days per year.

  • After your medical problem (including Severe Mental Illness and Serious Emotional Disturbances of a Child) no longer requires Urgently Needed Care or ceases to be an emergency and your condition is stable, any additional care you receive is considered Follow-Up Care.

  • Urgently Needed Care within 30-mile radius of your Physician Group and all non-Emergency Care-- must be performed by your Physician Group or authorized by them in order to be covered at the Tier one level.

  • That contracting Physician Group will provide or authorize all medical care for SELECT 1 benefits except for Emergency Care or Urgently Needed Care (see below).

  • In cases of Emergency or Urgently Needed Care, you should advise the treating Physician of any drug allergies or reactions, including to any Generic Drugs.

  • Urgently Needed Services means Covered Services needed to prevent a serious deterioration in a Member’s health. While not as immediate as Emergency Services, these services cannot be delayed until the Member can see a Plan Provider.
