United States Preventive Services Task Force definition

United States Preventive Services Task Force or “USPSTF” means an independent panel of nonfederal health care experts that evaluates the latest scientific evidence on clinical preventive services and then sets recommendations for preventive services including colorectal cancer screening. These recommendations by USPSTF are the guidelines that are followed for recommended colorectal cancer screening by the IGS program.

  • Services with an “A” or “B” rating from the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF);2.

  • This exclusion for educational services and supplies does not apply to training and education for diabetes or any United States Preventive Services Task Force recommendations that are required to be covered by law.

  • Preventive CarePrescription and over-the-counter drugs which have in effect a rating of “A” or “B” in the current recommendations of the United States Preventive Services Task Force (“USPSTF”) (to be implemented in the quantities and within the time period allowed under applicable law) or as required by state law will be covered and will not be subject to any Copayment, Coinsurance, Deductible or dollar maximums when obtained from a Participating Pharmacy.
