Unacceptable Waste definition

Unacceptable Waste means all waste not authorized for disposal at the Columbia Ridge Landfill and Recycling Center or successor site designated by the City, by those governmental entities having jurisdiction or any waste the disposal of which would constitute a violation of any governmental requirement pertaining to the environment, health or safety. Unacceptable Waste includes any waste that is now or hereafter defined by federal law or by the disposal jurisdiction as radioactive, dangerous, hazardous or extremely hazardous waste and vehicle tires in excess of those permitted to be disposed of by the laws of the disposal jurisdiction.

Examples of Unacceptable Waste in a sentence

  • The Parties acknowledge and understand that each load of SSR may contain Garbage, Unacceptable Waste, or other Rejects which cannot be recycled and put to beneficial use (collectively hereafter referred to as Residue).

More Definitions of Unacceptable Waste

Unacceptable Waste means any Waste, the acceptance, and handling of which by Contractor would cause a violation of any permit, condition, legal or regulatory requirement, substantial damage to Contractor's equipment or facilities, or present a danger to the health or safety of the public or Contractor's employees, including, but not limited to, Hazardous Waste, Special Waste (except as otherwise provided herein), untreated Medical Waste, Dead Animals weighing ten pounds (10 lbs.) or greater, solid or dissolved material in domestic sewage, or solid or dissolved material in irrigation return flows, or industrial discharges subject to regulation by permit, soil, dirt, rock, sand, and other natural or man-made inert solid materials used to fill land if the object of the fill is to make the land suitable for the construction of surface improvements.
Unacceptable Waste means any material described in Exhibit A, attached to and incorporated into this Agreement, and as may be amended from time to time by the City.
Unacceptable Waste means Non-Targeted Materials and Hazardous Waste.
Unacceptable Waste means waste not accepted at the waste site as itemized in ‘Schedule F’ to this By-law.

Unacceptable Waste means any waste tires, radioactive, volatile, corrosive, flammable, explosive, biomedical, infectious, bio-hazardous, regulated medical or hazardous waste, toxic substance or material, as defined by, characterized, or listed under applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations, any materials containing information protected by federal, state or local privacy and security laws or regulations (unless tendered to the Town Collector pursuant to a separate agreement), or any material the acceptance or handling of which would cause a violation of any applicable statute, rule or regulation, damage to the Town Collector’s equipment of facilities, or present a substantial endangerment to the health or safety of the public or the Town Collector’s employees. Title to and liability for Unacceptable Waste shall remain with the generator at all times.
Unacceptable Waste means waste that is not acceptable at the R&E Center in Newport, MN. The R&E Center shall make available to the Hauler a current list of Unacceptable Waste. Unacceptable Waste includes wastes which would likely pose a threat to health or safety, or which may cause damage to or materially adversely affect the operation of the R&E Center.
