Unacceptable Material definition

Unacceptable Material means the materials listed in Section 9 below. All Recyclable Materials collected for delivery and sale by Company shall be hauled to a processing facility selected by Company for processing (“Recycling Services”).
Unacceptable Material means any non-hazardous waste which is not permitted to be processed at a facility under applicable laws or permits, source, special nuclear or byproduct material as defined by the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 and the regulations thereunder; asbestos-containing waste; mercury-containing waste; and any waste delivered by Customer which is not approved by Company. If Customer has any questions about whether a particular material is considered hazardous, please call the Company before disposing of the material in the dumpster.
Unacceptable Material means Non-Recyclable Material that must be removed from the Received Material prior to processing because it is either Hazardous Waste, poses a health and safety threat to the MRF staff or it cannot be properly sorted by the MRF’s automated sorting mechanisms due to size, shape, weight or other restrictions.

Examples of Unacceptable Material in a sentence

  • Company may visually inspect the collected Recyclable Materials to ensure loads are at or below the Unacceptable Material Threshold.

  • If Company’s visual inspector determines that loads of Recyclable Material are consistently above the Unacceptable Material Threshold, Company will notify City of the issue and the parties agree to promptly negotiate in good faith (a) an agreed upon procedure to audit a representative sample of City’s Recyclable Material to determine its actual composition of Unacceptable Material; and (b) an updated Collection and Processing rate commensurate with the composition of Unacceptable Material.

  • The District may reject Unacceptable Material and any loads containing Unacceptable Materials.

  • The District may use Reasonable Business Efforts to detect and discover Unacceptable Material.

  • The District shall keep open and operate the Facility continuously and uninterruptedly, except when the District is prevented from doing so by any Uncontrollable Circumstance or rejection of Unacceptable Material.


More Definitions of Unacceptable Material

Unacceptable Material means all materials other than those materials constituting Solid Waste, as defined herein. Unacceptable Materials include Bulky Scrap Metal, Grass Clippings, E- Waste, tires, Construction and Demolition Debris, sewage sludge, Hazardous Waste, Qualified Household Hazardous Waste, and Regulated Medical Waste.
Unacceptable Material means material that may include, but is not limited to, audio and video recordings or photographs that violate the privacy of others, bullying related issues and any content related to pornography, racism, hatred, or any other inappropriate materials.
Unacceptable Material means any material which (a) by reason of its composition, characteristics, or quantity may cause potential injury to the Facility or its personnel, may present a danger to public health, safety or welfare or may cause the Facility to be in violation of any permit, license or approval or any federal, state or local law, regulation or mandate; or (b) contains non-willow products or any other materials as set forth in Exhibit C hereto, including but not limited to, any stones, excessive dirt or leaves, or non-wood materials.
Unacceptable Material means soluble chemical waste, hazardous wastes, liquid wastes, wastes prescribed under the Environment Protection (Prescribed Waste) Regulations 1998 (other than Prescribed Waste) and any other waste specified by the Authorised Officer for this purpose from time to time; and

If Customer has any questions about whether a particular material is considered hazardous, please call the Landfill before disposing of the material in the dumpster. If prohibited or hazardous items are put in the dumpster without written consent from Company and/or discovered by Landfill personnel, Customer agrees to have their payment method on file charged additional Prohibited Items Fees as well as any additional costs which may include but not limited to those costs and damages incurred by Company to recollect prohibited items from the Landfill and dispose of properly.
