UBC Persons definition

UBC Persons means those participating in Scholarly Activity at or under the auspices of the University. This includes faculty (including adjunct, clinical, and sessional faculty, emeriti, lecturers, and those holding visiting appointments), librarians, staff, post-doctoral fellows, and students.
UBC Persons means all Faculty Members, all Staff Members, all other employees of UBC, all students to the extent that they are carrying out UBC research, and all individual(s) who have agreed to carry out duties on behalf of UBC as a volunteer.
UBC Persons means full-time and part-time faculty and staff of the University, and any other person who teaches, conducts research, or works at or under the auspices of the University (including but not limited to students, adjunct and sessional faculty, librarians, program directors, post-doctoral fellows, emeriti and those holding a visiting appointment).

Examples of UBC Persons in a sentence

  • UBC delegates to eligible UBC Persons the responsibility for ensuring that these research accounts are managed properly and in accordance with UBC policies, Funding Terms, and any other applicable requirements (“Research Spending Responsibility”).

  • However, UBC Persons who have failed to exercise reasonable care in directing and supervising UBC Persons who have committed Scholarly Misconduct may share in the responsibility and be subject to discipline accordingly.

  • All UBC Persons must cooperate fully with the Investigative Committee and make available any documents requested by the Investigative Committee.

  • UBC Persons involved in Scholarly Activity must not commit Scholarly Misconduct.

  • This Policy applies to all UBC Persons who engage in Scholarly Activity.

  • UBC Persons are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the scholarly standards and practices that are generally accepted within the relevant scholarly field and following them honestly, accountably, openly and fairly.

  • All UBC Persons are personally and directly responsible for the intellectual and ethical quality of their work and must ensure that their Scholarly Activity meets the requirements of all applicable funding agreements, University or other policies, standards of the relevant profession or discipline, and laws and regulations.

  • Field trips shall normally return to school in time for the regular afternoon bus runs.

  • Without that public confidence, the effectiveness of the University as a public institution and of UBC Persons as intellectual leaders is diminished.

  • UBC Persons with positions not addressed above will require the written approval of both their Department Head and Dean (as applicable) and the Provost prior to being granted Research Spending Responsibility.

Related to UBC Persons

  • Controlling Persons means the natural persons who exercise control over an Entity. In the case of a trust, such term means the settlor, the trustees, the protector (if any), the beneficiaries or class of beneficiaries, and any other natural person exercising ultimate effective control over the trust, and in the case of a legal arrangement other than a trust, such term means persons in equivalent or similar positions. The term “Controlling Persons” shall be interpreted in a manner consistent with the Financial Action Task Force Recommendations.

  • Excluded Persons means (A) the Company or any Regency Entity; (B) a trustee or other fiduciary holding securities under an employee benefit plan of the Company or any Regency Entity; (C) an underwriter temporarily holding securities pursuant to an offering of such securities; or (D) a corporation owned, directly or indirectly, by the shareholders of the Company in substantially the same proportions as their ownership of stock in the Company.

  • Investor Parties has the meaning set forth in the Preamble.

  • Specified Persons means the Directors, connected persons, the insiders, the Designated Employees and the promoters and immediate relatives are collectively referred to as Specified Persons.

  • Entities means event and competition organisers/promoters/managers, land and track owners/managers/administrators/lessees, CAMS affiliated clubs, state and territory governments and insured listed in CAMS’ public/product/professional indemnity insurance policies and each of their related bodies corporate (including their related bodies corporate) and each of their organs and agencies, officers/president/directors/executives, employees, servants, agents, partners, providers, members, competitors, drivers, co-drivers, navigators, officials, crew members, pit crew, delegates, licence holders, representatives, commissions, committees, advisers, trustees, councils, panels, shareholders, volunteers, officials, appointees, delegated bodies and sponsors.

  • Designated Persons means a person or entity (a) listed in the annex to, or otherwise subject to the provisions of, any Executive Order; (b) named as a “Specially Designated National and Blocked Person” (“SDN”) on the most current list published by OFAC at its official website or any replacement website or other replacement official publication of such list (the “SDN List”) or is otherwise the subject of any Sanctions Laws and Regulations; (c) in which an entity or person on the SDN List has 50% or greater ownership interest or that is otherwise controlled by an SDN.

  • Politically Exposed Persons means:

  • Released Persons means each and all of the Defendants and their Related Parties.

  • Indemnified Persons has the meaning assigned to such term in Section 7.12(c).

  • Party and Parties means the Settling Defendants, the Plaintiffs, and, where necessary, the Settlement Class Members.

  • Housing for Older Persons means housing intended and operated for occupancy by persons 55 years of age or older (“Older Persons”). According to Georgia law, such housing must also have significant facilities and services serving the Older Persons population even though the requirement has been eliminated from the federal definition of an elderly project. At least 80% of the total occupied units in such a housing development must be occupied by at least one Older Person.

  • Members means all such Persons.

  • Interested Parties means, with respect to a structured settlement, the payee, a beneficiary irrevocably designated under the annuity contract to receive payments following the payee’s death, the annuity issuer, the structured settlement obligor, and any other party that has continuing rights or obligations under the structured settlement.

  • Released Defendant Persons means all persons and entities named as a Defendant in the Action or that could have been named as a Defendant in the Action, including, without limitation, the past and present officers and members of the Board of Directors of AMC, the members of the special committee of the Board of Directors of AMC that approved the Transaction, Silver Lake, and the members of the SLC, and any and all of the respective current and former employers, parent entities, controlling persons, owners, members, co-investors, lenders, principals, affiliates, or subsidiaries of any of the foregoing, and each and all of the respective past or present officers, directors, managers, partners, limited partners, stockholders, representatives, employees, attorneys, financial or investment advisors, consultants, accountants, investment bankers, commercial bankers, agents, heirs, executors, trustees, personal representatives, estates, administrators, predecessors, successors, assigns, insurers, and reinsurers of any of the foregoing.

  • U.S. Persons means such persons as defined in Regulation S of the United States Securities Act of 1933 and particularly includes residents of the United States as well as American stock corporations and private companies.

  • Restricted Persons shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Section 6.9(i).

  • Individuals means the person(s) who is the subject of PHI and includes a person who qualifies as a personal representative in accordance with 45 CFR 164.502(g).
