Treatment of Fringe Benefits. The fringe benefits are charged using the rate(s) listed in the Fringe Benefits Section of this Agreement. The fringe benefits included in the rate(s) are listed below. Treatment of Paid Absences: Vacation, holiday, sick leave pay and other paid absences are included in salaries and wages and are claimed on grants, contracts and other agreements as part of the normal cost for salaries and wages. Separate claims are not made for the cost of these paid absences. Off-Campus Definition: The off-campus rate will apply for all activities: a) Performed in facilities not owned by the institution and where these facility costs are not included in the F&A pools; or b) Where rent is directly allocated/charged to the project(s). Grants or contracts will not be subject to more than one F&A cost rate. If more than 50% of a project is performed off-campus, the off-campus rate will apply to the entire project. The rates cited herein are applicable to all universities of the University of Maine System which include but are not limited to Augusta, Machias, Southern Maine, Orono, Farmington, Presque Isle, Fort Kent, and System Wide Services.

  • Fringe benefits means the amount of:

  • Health Benefits means health maintenance organization, insured or self-funded medical, dental, vision, prescription drug and behavioral health benefits.

  • Medical Benefits means medical, optical, or dental benefits, including, but not limited to, hospital and physician services, prescription drugs, and related benefits.

  • Gap medical benefits means the benefits (if any) payable in respect of medical expenses that are less than, greater than or equal to the schedule fee, provided always that the medical expenses relate to a professional service that:

  • Treatment plan means a written agreement between the department and the parent or

  • Health and Welfare Benefits means any form of insurance or similar benefit programs, which may include but not be limited to, medical, hospitalization, surgical, prescription drug, dental, optical, psychiatric, life, or long-term disability.

  • Compensation and Benefits Programs means all compensation and benefit plans, policies, and programs of the Debtors, and all amendments and modifications thereto, applicable to the Debtors’ employees, former employees, retirees, and non-employee directors and the employees, former employees and retirees of their subsidiaries, including all savings plans, retirement plans, health care plans, disability plans, and incentive plans, deferred compensation plans, and life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance plans.

  • Health benefits plan means a benefits plan which pays or

  • Welfare Benefits means the types of benefits described in Section 3(1) of ERISA (whether or not covered by ERISA).

  • Fringe benefit means health insurance, a retirement benefit received under a pension plan or defined contribution plan, a paid vacation day, a paid holiday, sick leave, or any other similar employee benefit provided by an employer.

  • Additional Benefits means quantifiable and verifiable enhancement of conservation of biodiversity and/or improvement of local livelihoods realized as a result of implementation of the REDD activities;

  • superannuation benefits means pensions, gratuities and other allowances payable on resignation, retirement or death;

  • Additional gap medical benefits means the benefits (if any) payable in respect of medical expenses that are more than the schedule fee and which otherwise meet the requirements of the fund’s no or known gap policy, provided always that the medical expenses relate to a professional service that:

  • Pharmacy benefits management means the administration or management of prescription drug

  • Medical Benefits Schedule means the Medicare Schedule of Benefits produced by the Department of Health to which all fees and benefits relate for inpatient hospital services.

  • Separation Benefits has the meaning accorded such term in Section 3.04.

  • Treatment program means an abstinence based program or facility that is accredited by any of the following:

  • Essential Health Benefits means, under section 1302(b) of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, those health benefits to include at least the following general categories and the items and services covered within the categories: ambulatory patient services; Emergency Services; hospitalization; maternity and newborn care; mental health and substance abuse disorder services, including behavioral health treatment; prescription drugs; rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices; laboratory services; preventive and wellness services and chronic disease management; and pediatric services, including oral and vision care.

  • Retiree Health Plan means an "employee welfare benefit plan" within the meaning of Section 3(1) of ERISA that provides benefits to individuals after termination of their employment, other than as required by Section 601 of ERISA.

  • Coordination of Benefits or “COB” means a provision establishing an order in which plans pay their claims, and permitting secondary plans to reduce their benefits so that the combined benefits of all plans do not exceed total allowable expenses.

  • Mutual Benefits means the transient and steady-state support that the integrated generation and Transmission Systems in PJM and New York provide to each other inherently by virtue of being interconnected as described in Section 35.4 of this Agreement.

  • Resource Adequacy Benefits means the rights and privileges attached to the Generating Facility that satisfy any Person’s resource adequacy obligations, as those obligations are set forth in any Resource Adequacy Rulings and shall include any local, zonal or otherwise locational attributes associated with the Generating Facility.

  • Public employees retirement system means the retirement plan and program

  • Retiree means any person who has begun accruing a retirement

  • Employee Benefits means the provision of any benefit other than pension and retirement benefits provided to spouses of employees or provided to an employee on account of the employee's having a spouse, including but not limited to bereavement leave; disability, life, and other types of insurance; family medical leave; health benefits; membership or membership discounts; moving expenses; vacation; travel benefits; and any other benefits given to employees, provided that it does not include benefits to the extent that the application of the requirements of this chapter to such benefits may be preempted by federal or state law.

  • Unemployment compensation means cash benefits (including depend- ents’ allowances) payable to individ- uals with respect to their unemploy- ment, and includes regular, additional, emergency, and extended compensa- tion.(2) Regular compensation means unem- ployment compensation payable to an individual under any State law, but not including additional compensation or extended compensation.(3) Additional compensation means un- employment compensation totally fi- nanced by a State and payable under a State law by reason of conditions of high unemployment or by reason of other special factors.(4) Emergency compensation means supplementary unemployment com- pensation payable under a temporary Federal law after exhaustion of regular and extended compensation.(5) Extended compensation means un- employment compensation payable to an individual for weeks of unemploy- ment in an extended benefit period, under those provisions of a State law which satisfy the requirements of the Federal-State Extended Unemploy- ment Compensation Act of 1970, as amended, 26 U.S.C. 3304 note, and part 615 of this chapter, with respect to the payment of extended compensation.
