Touring Watch is a watch in which the Deck Officer assigned is on duty for two (2) work shifts not to exceed sixteen (16) hours within one
Touring Watch. A “touring watch” is a watch to which the employee is assigned where he/she is on duty for two (2) successive work shifts not to exceed a total of sixteen (16) working hours separated by a minimum of six (6) hours off between watches during a maximum period of twenty-seven (27) hours. The overtime provisions of this Agreement shall apply if these watches are varied.

  • Ambient air quality standard means an established concentration, exposure time, and frequency of occurrence of air contaminant(s) in the ambient air which shall not be exceeded.

For the purposes of this definition only:

  • Filtering facepiece (dust mask) means a negative pressure particulate respirator with a filter as an integral part of the facepiece or with the entire facepiece composed of the filtering medium, not equipped with elastomeric sealing surfaces and adjustable straps.

  • Cold Weather Alert means the notice that PJM provides to PJM Members, Transmission Owners, resource owners and operators, customers, and regulators to prepare personnel and facilities for expected extreme cold weather conditions.

  • Radiation therapy simulation system means a radiographic or fluoroscopic x-ray system intended for localizing the volume to be exposed during radiation therapy and confirming the position and size of the therapeutic irradiation field.

  • Slow sand filtration means a process involving passage of raw water through a bed of sand at low velocity (generally less than 0.4 meters per hour) resulting in substantial particulate removal by physical and biological mechanisms.

  • Receiving waters means the waters of the state into which point and non-point sources flow.

  • FIPPA means the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (Ontario) and the regulations made under it as it and they may be amended from time to time;

  • Beam scattering foil means a thin piece of material (usually metallic) placed in the beam to scatter a beam of electrons in order to provide a more uniform electron distribution in the useful beam.

  • Channel migration zone (CMZ) means the area where the active channel of a stream is prone to move and this results in a potential near-term loss of riparian function and associated habitat adjacent to the stream, except as modified by a permanent levee or dike.   • Double Phase Aerosol Air Freshener means an aerosol air freshener with the liquid contents in two or more distinct phases that requires the product container be shaken before use to mix the phases, producing an emulsion.

  • Electrical protection barrier means the part providing protection against any direct contact to the high voltage live parts.

  • Traffic control signal means a device, whether manually, electrically, or mechanically operated, by which traffic is alternately directed to stop and permitted to proceed.

  • Electrostatic application means the application to a substrate of charged atomized paint droplets that are deposited by electrostatic attraction.

  • Analytical x-ray system means a group of components utilizing x-rays to determine the elemental composition or to examine the microstructure of materials.

  • Ambient air means that portion of the atmosphere, external to buildings, to which the general public has access.

  • Automotive windshield washer fluid means any liquid designed for use in a motor vehicle windshield washer system either as an antifreeze or for the purpose of cleaning, washing, or wetting the windshield. Automotive windshield washer fluid does not include fluids placed by the manufacturer in a new vehicle.

  • National Ambient Air Quality Standards or “NAAQS” means national ambient air quality standards that are promulgated pursuant to Section 109 of the Act, 42 U.S.C. § 7409.

  • Biological safety cabinet means a containment unit suitable for the preparation of low to moderate risk agents where there is a need for protection of the product, personnel, and environment, according to National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Standard 49.
