total disablement definition

total disablement means such disablement, whether of a temporary or permanent nature, as incapacitates a workman for all work which he was capable of performing at the time of the accident resulting in such disablement:
total disablement means disablement which continues for 12 consecutive months and at that time is certified by a Medical Practitioner as being beyond hope of improvement, which results in your complete inability to engage in or attend to any gainful employment for which you are reasonably qualified to perform by reason of education, training or experience or for which you may become fit to perform through rehabilitation and retraining.
total disablement means injury of a permanent nature which solely and directly totally disables and prevents you from attending to any business, occupation of any and every kind or if you have no business or occupation, from attending to your usual duties or activities.

  • On payment of a Claim under Benefit II (a): Death or Permanent Total Disablement, the cover will cease in respect of that Insured Person.

  • If We have accepted a Claim for Accidental Death, Permanent Total Disablement, Permanent Partial Disablement or Temporary Total Disablement in accordance with Benefit 1, 2, 3 or 4 of Section A, then We will reimburse the costs of to and fro economy class ticket up to the limit specified in the Policy Schedule / Certificate of Insurance for one of the Insured Person’s Immediate Relatives to travel from their place of residence to the location of the Insured Person.
