Total cost of construction definition

Total cost of construction means the actual cost incurred by the owner, all contractors, subcontractors, and other parties for labor, material, equipment, profit, and incidental expenses for the entire project. This does not include the cost of design services unless those services are included in a construction contract.

  • Start of construction means the date the development permit was issued, provided the actual start of construction, repair, reconstruction, or improvement was within 180 days of the permit date. The actual start means the first placement of permanent construction of the structure such as the pouring of slabs or footings, installation of piles, construction of columns, or any work beyond the stage of excavation, and includes the placement of a manufactured home on a foundation. (Permanent construction does not include initial land preparation, such as clearing, grading and filling; nor does it include the installation of streets and/or walkways; nor does it include excavation for a basement, footings, piers or foundations or the erection of temporary forms; nor does it include the installation on the property of buildings appurtenant to the permitted structure, such as garages or sheds not occupied as dwelling units or part of the main structure.   • Existing construction means any structure for which the "start of construction" commenced before the effective date of the initial floodplain management code or ordinance adopted by the community as a basis for that community's participation in the NFIP.

If reimbursement of Indirect Costs is allowable under an Award, Grantor will not reimburse those Indirect Costs unless Grantee has established an Indirect Cost Rate covering the applicable activities and period of time, unless Indirect Costs are reimbursed at a fixed rate.

  • Total cost means the total annual cost of benefits and related costs including but not limited to claims, administration expenses, insurance premiums, consulting, auditing and advisory fees and all other costs and taxes, as reported on the insurance carrier’s most recent yearly statement, and if any, premium costs on other district school area board or public school authority statements, for the year ending no later than August 31, 2015. The aforementioned statements are to be provided to the Ministry of Education. Total Cost excludes retiree costs. The average number of Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) positions in the bargaining unit as at October 31st and March 31st for the period consistent with this clause.
