TNC services definition

TNC services means the period of time a TNC driver:
TNC services means the provision of transportation by a driver to a rider, beginning when a driver accepts a ride requested by a rider through a digital network controlled by a TNC, continuing while the driver transports a requesting rider, and ending when the last requesting rider departs from the TNC Vehicle.
TNC services or “services” means transportation of a passenger between points chosen by the passenger and prearranged with a driver through the use of a TNC digital network or software application. Services begin when a driver accepts a request for transportation received through the TNC’s digital network or software application, continue while the driver transports the passenger in the driver’s motor vehicle, and end when the passenger exits the driver’s motor vehicle. TNC service is not taxicab, for-hire vehicle, or street hail service.

  • TNCs may satisfy this requirement through: (a) TNC insurance maintained by the driver, if the TNC verifies that the driver’s TNC insurance covers the driver’s use of a vehicle for TNC services; (b) TNC insurance maintained by the TNC; or (c) a combination of (a) and (b).

  • For the purpose of TNC services, a ride is considered prearranged if the ride is solicited and accepted via a TNC digital platform before the ride commences.

  • TNC vehicles shall display consistent trade dress (i.e., distinctive signage or display on the vehicle) when providing TNC services that is sufficiently large and color contrasted as to be readable during daylight hours at a distance of at least 50 feet.

  • In order to protect public safety, any person who has been convicted, within the past seven years, of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, fraud, sexual offenses, use of a motor vehicle to commit a felony, a crime involving property damage, and/or theft, acts of violence, or acts of terror shall not be permitted to provide TNC services.

  • It shall be prohibited for a TNC driver to connect to a TNC's digital network for the purpose of accepting solicitations and providing TNC services in a personal vehicle other than a personal vehicle that the TNC driver has registered with the TNC pursuant to R.I. Gen.

  • TNCs shall maintain commercial liability insurance policies providing not less than $1,000,000 (one million dollars) per-incident coverage for incidents involving vehicles and drivers while they are providing TNC services.

  • Any payment for TNC services shall be made only electronically using the TNC’s digital network or other application.

  • The TNC’s digital network shall display to passengers requesting TNC services a picture of the TNC driver and the license plate number of the vehicle to be used to provide the requested services before the passenger enters the TNC driver’s vehicle.

  • No individual shall provide TNC services or transport TNC riders in a personal vehicle until the individual shall have first submitted to required background checks conducted through the TNC.

  • Additionally, the disclosure should state that each TNC is required to maintain insurance policies providing a minimum of $1,000,000 (one million dollars) per-incident coverage for incidents involving vehicles and drivers while they are providing TNC services.


More Definitions of TNC services

TNC services means transportation for compensation of one or more Passengers in a Motor Vehicle with a seating capacity of not more than 10 individuals, from any place in the City of Kingston to any destination in or outside of the City of Kingston, requested, brokered, facilitated, solicited, offered or advertised through a Transportation Network Company;
TNC services means any services provided by a TNC Driver when using a TNC Mobile App to provide transportation services on the TNC Airport Property. TNC Services include all of the following three periods of operation: (i) Period One: when the TNC Mobile App is open and the TNC Driver is waiting for a match; (ii) Period Two: when the match has been accepted by the TNC Driver has not yet picked up the passenger; and (iii) Period Three: when the TNC Driver has a passenger in the TNC Vehicle until the passenger safely exits the TNC Vehicle.

  • BPO Services means Provider’s business process outsourcing services described in the applicable Solution Exhibit, whereby Provider assumes responsibility for Customers’ business processes.

  • Cloud Services means SAP’s then-current cloud services offered under and described in detail in the applicable SAP PartnerEdge Model.

  • Respite services means a temporary period of relief and support for individuals and their families provided in a variety of settings. The intent is to provide a safe environment with staff assistance for individuals who lack an adequate support system to address current issues related to a disability. Respite may be provided for a defined period of time; respite is either planned or provided in response to a crisis.

  • Extra Services means those services set forth in Schedule “B” that are requested by the Municipality for itself or on behalf of its citizens and provided by the Company in accordance with paragraph 7 of this Agreement;

  • Broadband Services means Verizon's Fios or DSL-based Internet services (whichever applies). Verizon's DSL-based Internet service is also known as "High Speed Internet" ("HSI").

  • Company Services means any services (including but not limited to technical and product support, technical advice, underwriting and customer services) supplied by the Company or its Affiliates in the specialty property and/or casualty insurance business.
