Time Off definition

Time Off means time where a homecare worker is not providing services to a consumer during a normally scheduled work time.
Time Off. All staff members, regardless of assignment are entitled to a scheduled day off each work week. Time off will be coordinated through the office manager. Days off will begin at 8 PM and end at 8 PM the next day.
Time Off means the time an employee is regularly scheduled to work in a calendar week. Therefore an employee shall be able to “take off” the same number of days they are regularly scheduled in a work week.

Examples of Time Off in a sentence

  • Additionally, prior to any promotion or departmental transfer, employees must either cash out or use all accrued CTO and Holiday Time Off balances.

  • The employee requesting such extended bereavement leave shall be allowed to utilize any Paid Time Off that s/he has accrued and earned.

  • Time Off in Lieu of Overtime Employees who work overtime will not be required to take time off in regular hours to make up for overtime worked.

  • Parental Leave (excluding the SUB Plan); Jury Duty; Special Time Off at Christmas: same as regular employees.

  • Where applicable, this language shall be coordinated with Article 11B, Section 9, Paid Time Off, to ensure that no employee uses paid time off (PTO) hours and frozen sick leave hours totaling more than $2,000.00 per payroll year.


More Definitions of Time Off

Time Off shall have the meaning set forth in Section 10.1. (lll) “Workers’ Compensation Policy” shall mean the PWHL’s workers’ compensation policy.
Time Off means the protected period of time in which the PWHL and its Teams may not require work from any Player including, but not limited to, training, strength or conditioning, games, meetings, appearances, or travel. Recognizing that the PWHL does not control the international game calendar and does not employ Players in the performance of their respective national team duties, international competitions, national team training camps or training sessions, and/or other non-PWHL work performed on behalf of a national team, such work may be performed during a Player’s Time Off.
Time Off. In addition to vacation accrual as set forth in the "Vacation" section above, Employee shall be entitled to nine (9) business days of Paid Time Off ("PTO") each calendar year. PTO will continue to accrue so long as Employee's total accrued PTO does not exceed fourteen (14) business days. In the event Employee's accrued PTO should reach fourteen (14) business days, Employee will cease to accrue further PTO until Employee's accrued PTO falls below that level. Other than the accrual and maximum accrual of PTO as set forth in this section of the Agreement, Employee's PTO shall be governed by the PTO provisions of the Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx Employee Manual.
Time Off. The School Board shall afford time off up to seventy two (72) non-student contact hours to elected officers or appointed representatives of the Federation for the purposes of conducting the duties of the Federation. Such officers shall not conduct Federation business with others while they are having student contact.
Time Off. Partner understands and acknowledges that Group’s coverage will be for 52 weeks in a year, based on the agreed upon Clinician’s weekly schedule for availability, however, the Schedule will not include the following Time Off. Group will not bill Partner for Time Off: ▪ Six common holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. ▪ Time off taken by Clinicians for personal, sick, or continuing medical education reasons, which typically range from four to five weeks per year.
Time Off. An employee and his representative, if a Town employee, shall be allowed such reasonable time off, without loss of pay, from his regular duties, as may be necessary, consistent with his job responsibilities and the operation needs of his work unit, to attend meetings with management for the purpose of resolving a grievance.
