Thumbs up. (showing student) means that you can take a break, and a “thumbs down” (showing student), means that you can’t take a break. If the teacher gives you a “thumbs down”, it’s no big deal, it just means that you should keep doing the right thing and you can ask for a break again later. If you think you will want a break soon then set your timer for 2 minutes but keep working. When the timer goes off you can ask for a break again.
