THE RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS. ARE: NEW YEAR'S DAY, VICTORIA DAY, CIVIC HOLIDAY, THANKSGIVING DAY, BOXING DAY, GOOD FRIDAY, CANADA DAY, LABOUR DAY, FAMILY DAY, CHRISTMAS DAY, THE EMPLOYEE'S BIRTHDAY, OR DAYS LEGALLY OBSERVED AS SUCH.
THE RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS. ARE: NEW YEAR'S DAY, VICTORIA DAY, CIVIC HOLIDAY, THANKSGIVING DAY, BOXING DAY, GOOD FRIDAY, CANADA DAY, LABOUR DAY, CHRISTMAS DAY, THE EMPLOYEE'S BIRTHDAY, OR DAYS LEGALLY OBSERVED AS SUCH. SHOULD THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DECLARE ANOTHER STATUTORY HOLIDAY FOR ALL CANADIAN EMPLOYEES, SUCH DAY SHALL BE ADDED TO THE HOLIDAYS HEREINBEFORE MENTIONED.
THE RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS are: New Year's Day, Heritage Day (3rd Monday in February), Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Friday before B. C. Day, B.C. Day, Friday before Labour Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and any such day as may be declared a Public Holiday by the Federal and/or Provincial Government. Refer to Overall Memorandum of Settlement for the exception for non-industrial projects. This exception does not prejudice the Union position as to the nature of the work covered by this collective agreement.

Related to THE RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS

  • NERC Holidays means a holiday as defined by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation or any successor thereto.

  • Weekend means a Saturday and the following Sunday, assuring a minimum of fifty-six (56) hours off duty;

  • public holiday means any day that is a public holiday in terms of the Public Holiday Act, 1994 (Act No. 36 of 1994);

  • Holiday means the twenty-four (24) hour period commencing at 0001 hours of a day designated as a paid holiday in this Agreement.

  • Trading Hours means the hours of trading as set forth on the Trading Platform for a particular Underlying Asset.

  • Clearing System Business Day means in relation to an Index, any day on which the principal domestic clearing systems customarily used for settling trades in securities comprising such Index is (or, but for the occurrence of an event beyond the control of the Company or the Hedging Counterparty as a result of which such clearing system cannot clear the transfer of such securities, would have been) open for the acceptance and execution of settlement instructions.

  • Clearance System Business Day means, with respect to the Clearance System, any day (other than a Saturday or Sunday) on which the Clearance System is open for the acceptance and execution of settlement instructions.
